REALLY NICE PLACE FOR THE PRICE APPARTMENT IS A STUDIO WITH A HUGE BED NICE KITCHEN WITH CUTLERY PLATES POTS AND PANS COMPLIMNETARY COFFEE, FIRST DAY CLEANERS DID A REALLY BAD JOB LEAVING THE DIRTY CLOTHS AND TOWELS IN THE ROOM, AND THE DIRTY PLATES BUT AFTER WE LET RECEPTION KNOW IT WAS IMPECABLE, THE WATER TO SHOWER IS A LITTLE SALTY BUT NOT A MAJOR PROBLEM AS I WAS TOLD MOST OF TULUMS SEWER WATER IS A LITTLE SALTY , IT ALSO HAS A BIG FRIDGE AND THE SWIMIMNG POOL CLOSES QUITE LATE (11PM) YOU NEED A CAR/MOTORBIKE/BIKE TO REACH THE HOTEL AS ITS A BIT FAR FROM THE CITY (10 MIN DRIVE)

This was our third visit to Tulum, and after staying at four different hotels in the area, we can confidently say that Irie Hotel has been the best. If you're seeking a vacation that offers both relaxation and adventure, Irie is the ideal choice. Located in Aldea Zama (also known as "the jungle"), the hotel is perfectly positioned, just a 15-minute bike ride from both the beach and Tulum Centro. Previously, we stayed in the neighborhoods of La Veleta and Tulum Centro, but Irie stood out in every way. The hotel itself is exceptionally designed with attention to detail. We loved the small, convenient touches, such as the room devices that allow guests to request cleaning, laundry services, or privacy. There's also an elevator to access the higher floors, which was a real bonus for carrying heavy luggage. We stayed in the Single Deluxe Apartment with Balcony, which was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed— a kitchen, dining table, smart TVs, king-size bed, safe deposit box, and excellent working air conditioning. The apartment was perfect for us, and we were even able to comfortably host a friend who stayed on the couch in the living room. Irie Hotel also offers fantastic amenities, including a fully equipped gym with free weights, a yoga studio, filtered water in the gym, and an in-house restaurant that offers room delivery. One of the highlights of our stay was the concierge staff. Facundo, Matias, and Ezekiel were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any requests or recommendations. Due to our extended stay and booking through Booking.com, we encountered a situation where we couldn’t reserve the same room for the entire stay. However, Facundo went above and beyond by modifying our reservation, allowing us to remain in the same room throughout our trip, making our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our stay at Irie Hotel and would love to return in the future.

A couple of things to note: 1. The water in the shower was hot but slightly salty. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it might be a concern for some. 2. The swimming pool is small and mostly stays in the shade. This didn’t bother us as we spent most of our time at the beach. 3. The internet speed was a bit slow. I needed to work for a few days, and I struggled with online meetings, especially with my camera on. Hopefully, this can be addressed in the future.

Location was in a quiet area under major development though. The boys on reception staff were brilliant really really lovely guys that couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms were really clean very new good quality.

Unfortunately, there is only three sunbeds to the entire complex ( yes I did say that correct only three !) and a small pool which doesn’t get any sun. So no sunbathing and no balconies and chairs et cetera to sit outside either. That was a really really poor design. Neither did we have a bottle opener in the kitchenette. Who goes on a holiday to not sit in the Sun and not use a bottle opener for drinks ?!

Impressive apartment. Great size - we had lots of space. Very comfortable and well equipped for self-catering. Gym was particularly impressive with a great range of equipment. Quiet location situated between town and beach. You'll need a vehicle or bicycle to get around as the walk would take a while. Staff were really helpful with any and requests we had.

WiFi/internet wouldn't connect properly. If you're needing Internet connection for work purposes make sure you at least have mobile data. Good signal there for mobile data. Staff really did try to help us sort it out, even providing a wired connection for us but we couldn't get a connection for 90% of the time we were in the apartment. Possibly something to do with the recent hurricane and so likely not a permanent problem. This is obviously only a minor issue if you're out enjoying the area for the duration of your stay.

I like the property because the staff was very helpful in any matter, i liked the fact that i could rent a bike at the property, easy to get to the beach or to the shops and downtown. Comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast even though the apartment has fully furnished kitchen and i could also cook my preferred food.

At the ground floor is high humidity but the property placed a dehumidifier plus air conditioning in each room.

I loved the staff, they were all very nice and helpful. Cecilia was very friendly and gave us the best recommendations to eat and to different places where we were able to enjoy very much our vacation. She would also help me look up any adresses I couldn't find. I would truly recommend this place for anyone.

My only bad experience was when I was going to brush my teeth and when I went to take a shower. The water was a little salty. We were told that's because 70% of the water is from the beach and the other 30% percent are from the cenotes.

The hotel is a dream place, newly built it is decorated with impeccable taste, it looks and feel like a spa. Same for the rooms, I have never been in such a nice and comfortable place, wish I had stayed longer.

It is not walking distance from downtown/bars/restaurants/shops because that area is now being developed/built. However, there are bikes for rent or taxis (we had rented a car) and the hotel has a restaurant 6 days a week. The area is very safe and offers free parking.

My stay in Irie Hotel was absolutely perfect. The hotel has very good facilities and the staff is amazing and helped us a lot during our stay. They have a very equipped gym which I didn’t find in any other hotel in tulum and a bar with very good food. The zone is very secure and in a very good location. I loved the penthouse apartment, it’s very big and has a private pool.

Nothing, everything was perfect. The only regret is not staying more time

The hotel and our apartment are very beautiful, the staff lovable and helpful. It is really a good place to be in. Your apartment is provided by a very modern and beautiful kitchen, a comfortable living room with a beautiful TV. Your bedroom is big, comfortable, the mattress was the best i have ever slept on!!! the bed is hugeee!!!

there are 2 contras: the location and internet. The hotel is located in the brand new zone la Valetta. This is between Tulum centrum and zona hoteleira. If you want to stay at this hotel you need a bicycle (15-20min from zona hoteleira away, 10-15 min from centro) or a motor vehicle. If you want to go by taxi, from la Valletta to zona hoteleira the taxi will charge you at least 25 dollars, the way back at least 35 dollars. if you want to go to Tulum centro from the hotel estimate about 15-20 dollars. The internet doesn't work well, maybe due the brand new area. Streaming isn't possible! Although, Tulum does have a very good internet connection, for example in almost every beach club at zona hoteleira.

The hotel itself is really nice. It has an elevator which makes it very easy to get to your room when you are carrying a bunch of suitcases. It is really safe and it’s very cool that they have a dashboard where you can request for them to clean your room or laundry service or maybe for them to just let you be. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the fact the water had this salty taste, it is not drinking water since that is all throughout Mexico I think but if you brushed your teeth/showered you would taste the saltiness of the water. Besides the water thing everything else was amazing, the staff is also super nice and helpful if you have any questions about recommendations or anything in general.
