First - excellent location which saves you a lot of money and hassle, just 1 minute walk from the end terminus of busses from both airports. Super convenient. Just 3 minutes walk to Taksim square. If you want to impress your partner go for one of the suites - they are on 2 storey with an internal stair, big surface and really nice appointed. Two toilets which proved to be convenient. Very good mattress for the bed - they really understood that a good sleep is essential. Room was cleaned everyday, and overall it was very clean. Reception staff very professional and polite.

Careful about the minibar prices - they only have a qr menu and I paid 260 lira for a coke (that's about 7$). Just follow the common sense and don't touch the minibar.

Nice hotel. Clean and well presented staff. Close to taxim but away form the noise. Shops and restaurants close by. Will definitely check here for price when I stay in taxim going forward.

Card system can be a problem. (Hold the card slightly away from the reader ) Signs up saying no outside food.

The rooms were big and luxurious! Toiletries were well stocked. The hotel was kept immaculately clean and rooms cleaned on time every day. The staff was very pleasant and responsive to our requests. They showed they cared about guest experience. It is located very close to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. It was good value for money. We had a very comfortable stay.

Breakfast was below par for a 5 star. The buffet was very limited, poorly stocked, and disorganized. There are food trays placed in front of the egg station causing people requesting eggs to block others from serving food. Options were very limited. And when things ran out like the tiny smoothie servings they were simply not restocked on the buffet. There was no proper coffee machine which we’ve come to expect. Bath robes, towels, and linens were worn out and need replacement.

The hotel is clearly a good hotel. And very luxurious I liked the complimentary fruit and every day bottled water was put by my bed Room service and cleaners excellent Staff always polite This could so easily be one of best hotels in Europe

The light switches are difficult to understand I thought drink prices at coffee shop and bar to be extremely excessive. 350tl for two 330 ml bottles of beer is far too much. 100 dollar cash deposit on arrival. What for I don't know. I had no dollars. Check out was a tiresome having to wait for staff to check room. I missed my bus to airport as a result. One doesn't expect this at a 5 star hotel particularly if one is a regular guest.

The location of the hotel was excellent — close to everything and super convenient — but what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. We had such a memorable experience thanks to their kindness and hospitality. A special mention goes to Abdul Haseeb, who was incredibly helpful and proactive throughout our stay. On the first day, we noticed that one of our rooms wasn’t the twin bed we had booked. Abdul immediately stepped in and arranged an upgrade to a larger corner room. The very next day, he helped us again by requesting upgrades for all three of our rooms to spacious suites. When the AC in one of those rooms wasn’t working properly, he once again assisted us by arranging an upgrade to even bigger suites. All of these requests were made by Abdul and kindly approved by the manager, Burak, who was equally warm, generous, and accommodating. Burak even gave us his card and assured us of the best possible service on our next visit. Both of them were truly outstanding and played a huge part in making our stay so memorable. We also want to highlight Salma at the concierge desk, who was absolutely amazing. Not only did she kindly lend us her metro card so we could load and use it, she also helped us with charger connectors when we didn’t have any. More importantly, she guided us throughout our tours and itinerary in Istanbul. Whether it was how to get around, where to catch ferries, how to navigate the train system, or simply where to go and when — she was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. Thanks to her, exploring the city felt smooth and comfortable. Everyone at the reception also played their part in making our stay easy and enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience, and we would absolutely love to return!

A Dream Stay at Hotel Elysium – Exceptional Service & Warm Hospitality Our stay at Hotel Elysium was nothing short of fantastic! Our Maisonette Junior Suites were absolutely wonderful—spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed. To our delight, we even received an upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The restaurant was another highlight of our visit. The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, but what truly set it apart was the outstanding service. Ali, our server, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and full of amazing local tips. His positive energy and genuine care made every meal an experience to remember. And then there was Chef Suzan, an absolute gem! Every morning, she surprised us with new, delicious desserts at breakfast, each one a delightful treat. Her kindness, passion, and radiant personality made us feel right at home. Both Ali and Suzan are the heart and soul of this hotel, and their warm, radiant energy truly elevated our stay. If you’re looking for a place that not only offers luxury and comfort but also unparalleled hospitality, Hotel Elysium is the perfect choice.

The staff were superb, particularly the breakfast team with Ali and Susan giving us a amazing service every morning and even making us bespoke extras. The room was very spacious. We also did a Turkish bath, hammam, which I would totally recommend.

Taksim square was locked down, with the political unrest in Türkiye at the moment, so even though a lot of people mention it is in a great location, it was not a good part of town to be in during our stay. Also, there were A LOT of people having hair transplants, which is not the best sight in the morning when you're trying to eat your breakfast... although I appreciate there is not a lot the hotel can do about that.

Wonderful Stay and Exceptional Hospitality at The Elysium Taksim Due to unforeseen circumstances related to the conflict affecting my home country, my flight from Europe to Tehran was cancelled, and I had to unexpectedly stay in Istanbul. I am incredibly grateful to The Elysium Taksim Hotel for turning a difficult situation into a truly comforting experience. The hotel generously upgraded me to a stunning duplex room with large windows offering a calming view — a peaceful refuge during such a stressful time. The team extended my stay without hesitation and kindly allowed a late checkout, which made a huge difference for me. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to each day. I also enjoyed the spa facilities, which provided much-needed relaxation and tranquility. I want to sincerely thank the entire front office team, especially Selim, Abdul, Bahadir, Selma, and everyone else who showed such kindness, professionalism, and warmth. Their genuine care made me feel supported and welcomed far from home. I look forward to returning to The Elysium Taksim when circumstances improve. I genuinely enjoyed every aspect of my stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

The rooms at the Elysium Taksim are spectacular. I was amazed when I walked in and had a two-story, floor to ceiling view of Istanbul out the windows. The room was the size of a large one bedroom flat in many countries. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom, while it could use better lighting at the vanity, was fabulous. There was also a lovely welcome gift when I arrived the second day. The property is a short walk to Taksim square and it was easy to get around from there.

I had some small issues with a light that was blinking when it was turned off. I requested the staff to fix three times, it never was fixed. I called for more hangers and a new iron (the first one was leaking water everywhere) twice and ended up heading out and finding housekeeping on my floor to get what I needed after two hours of waiting. The breakfast was a disappointment. There were many waitstaff around but none seemed interested in helping anyone. It took me three days to learn I could get eggs. The buffet was basic and bland. While I was disappointed in most of the staff - the guy working the coffee counter in the lobby was excellent!
