The hotel is very nice, very clean and modern. It lives up to being 5* we got a free upgrade on arrival which was amazing because our room had a hammam which was very nice. The Syrian lady at breakfast making at the omelette station was very friendly. Overall very nice hotel and breakfast is very nice and varied too. My mum forget two pieces of clothing items at the hotel and only realised later and when we came back the following day to collect they had it for us which was nice.

We checked in at 9pm after travelling for the whole day and was very tired but nobody took us to our room. We had to take our own luggage which was a very big disappointment and one reason why I would discourage people to stay here as I found that very rude.

Bathrooms. Toilets should have privacy/door. Not open to bathroom sink and shower. Does not encourage me to stay there again only for that reason. They could simply add a door to the toilet area.

Very convenient location. Very clean. Very good WiFi. Comfortable spacious communicating rooms. Professional staff. Our son’s plush went missing from our room. The hotel staff went out of their way to locate it. It had mistakenly been washed with the beddings, and was returned to us a couple days later. A big relief for our little boy.

Services such as laundry or room service are overpriced. But there are many alternatives in the neighbourhood.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful From the moment I checked in, Ms.Hanieh and Ms.Atousa welcomed me with warmth and professionalism. Ms.Hanieh was also incredibly helpful and attentive in resolving an issue I had. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the daily room service was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding, with a friendly and professional staff-especially Ms.Nour who was constantly ensuring top-notch service with a smile. This hotel was hands-down the best place we have stayed in all of Europe! The customer service and hotel staff hospitality was exceptional, which made our trip even more memorable. With the hustle and bustle of the live city of Istanbul the Barcelo was in a perfect location because it offered a quiet, clean and comfortable location. Within a 5 minute walk, you can be in the heart of Taksim Square, and for €5-10 taxi ride, you can reach anywhere in the city of Istanbul! The rooms were extremely clean. The Roman Bath and saunas were exquisite. I cannot stress enough how great the customer service and hospitality was! We will definitely be staying at the Barcelo during our next trip to Istanbul!

Really nice hotel in the center of the city! The bed was really comfortable and big! Staff of the hotel was friendly. Breakfast was really good and fresh, but to be honest doesn’t meet the expectations for a 5 stars hotel.

The cleaning wasn’t that good, dust in the closet and in general not 5 stars hotel standards. (Moreover the cleaning lady ask us to give her a good review mentioning her name. I mean even if the cleaning was perfect she shouldn’t have ask something like that from the customers) the facilities are somehow old, you can definitely say that the room has been used for many years without renovation.
