It is our 4 time in this hotel. The staff is exceptional. They upgraded us in Junior Suites. Rooms very spacious and new. Food is delicous. Location very good.

Ideally located a few minutes walk away from Taksim metro, the breakfast was amazing, the staff welcoming and efficient, we also enjoyed the spa even though in the morning the sauna was not hot. But overall a very nice experience, we would stay in this hotel again if we came back to Istanbul

9.5 , The stay is great , the reception guest staff is amazing , they are warm and hospitable throughout my stay even with I had issues with my card. They managed to resolved it in swift manner. The room is clean along with the standard amenities and I have no issues to nick pick out. The hotel is walkable distance to the metro Taksim square station , funicular station and buses in the Taksim tunnel. Very convenient to travel all round Istanbul as a solo traveller. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family whenever they are in Istanbul!

Great and very convenient location, just a few minutes walk from the metro station and funicular on Taksim Square. Very friendly and helpful staff (with a special mention for M. Mustafa, who kept our room clear and in order with a daily smile!).

The presidential suite felt a little old-fashioned, with huge rooms upstairs but a quite dark living room and very little equipment (very small fridge, no plates or cutlery, etc. ). Luckily the restaurant downstairs was happy to lend us a few glasses so we could open our champagne for the New Year countdown…

Great Stay at Occidental Taksim Hotel We stayed at the Occidental Taksim Hotel for 6 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Muhammad and Sami at the front desk. Sami went above and beyond to assist us when we had an issue with an Uber driver who was trying to take a longer route. He immediately spoke to the driver, got the ride canceled, and ensured the next Uber driver took the best route. His attention and care really made our stay stress-free. The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of Galata Tower and Kamondo Stairs, and just a short walk to the lively Istiklal Street. It’s also very close to public transport, making it easy to explore Istanbul. One thing we really appreciated was how safe the area felt, even at night. We walked around the city in the evenings, and the presence of police officers everywhere gave us a great sense of security. The breakfast buffet was also quite good, offering a nice variety of options to start the day. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. This version now includes the added emphasis on the safety of the area for night walks.

It was a parking garage, so the car is safe and sound. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The amenities, including the fitness center and spa, added to the overall experience, providing a perfect blend of relaxation and leisure. I also appreciated the free Wi-Fi, which made it easy to stay connected. Overall, I highly recommend the Occidental Taksim Hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul. It offers exceptional service, a prime location, and a comfortable stay, making it a true gem in the heart of the city.

Friendly and welcoming staff, Mr Talha and Ms Begum at reception guided and assisted the check in. The rooms were clean and bed sheets fresh, the bed was very comfortable. They have a heated pool and jacuzzi as well, and gym facilities, which made the stay more relaxing and comfortable. The hotel is located centrally at Taksim which makes it easier to go around to the places on that side of town. The amenities were top notch. We got more than what we paid for. The room had a cozy vibe to it. Its good for families. The breakfast options and variety was very nice!

There wasn't much to complain about. The constant login required for WiFi access was a hassle as I have multiple devices to use. Empty mini bar. Perhaps something more to cater to subcontinental palettes in breakfast would be a welcome addition :)

It’s also conveniently near the airport bus station, which is a huge plus for travelers. As an American, breakfast needs meat. There was some chicken & ham cold cuts. With all the salad & wonderful bread? I made a sandwich.

Con-artist in the near by area. They send girls out to get guys to buy them a drink and charge $75 to $250 indicating the girl ordered a very expensive drink. Taxicabs over charge with the “I have to go a different route because of traffic. Women carry kids & even babies begging for money. They are out 3 & 4 in the morning.
