this was our third visit. Room overlooked garden and was well equipped. Dinner was very good with suitable choices on the menu. Bar service was good. Most staff were courteous and helpful.

Room safe was basically unusable as it was on the top shelf of the cupboard at the back. Scraped my wrist on shelf edge - you would need to be near 2 metres tall to be able to see into safe. Maintenance staff were informed but nothing happened.

The location was a huge bonus. I really appreciated being close to the heart of the city (and only a short taxi ride to and from the train station.) The staff was extremely accommodating. I especially appreciated Anais and Estelle (the two young women I had the most interaction with). They went above and beyond to help and provide information. They were also really pleasant. I also appreciated being able to check out a little later and hold my luggage at the desk. The cleaning staff that I encountered was also very friendly. I had a lovely talk with Manon. I really liked the quality of the food in the dining room. I was very tired the first night and the host was very helpful and accommodating. The gazpacho soup was superb! The express petit-dejeuner was also very good.

When I first arrived, I had to return to the desk multiple times to ask questions--first because I wasn't familiar with using the key card to turn on lights in my room. I also wasn't quite sure how to adjust the temperature. Since I just checked in, it would have been helpful to provide a little information, i.e., inform me about the key card, even give me some info about the dining room, its hours, and the breakfast (express vs. regular).

The welcome and the decor. We wanted to change the dates and they were extremely accommodating.

They had however cancelled our booking, there were still bedrooms but in hindsight the price for the bedroom they gave us came out more expensive than if I had booked it on site. The toilet was not proper from bad cleaning and so too much sediment which isn't nice...

Exceptional hotel, great location, excellent breakfast, the staff were brilliant, reception person that helped us spoke great English, breakfast staff were friendly, garden area nice, patio area superb for eating outside, water cooler in the corridor, great 2 story car park underground with easy access.

Lovely hotel. Great welcome from Reception, excellent service in the restaurant, both in the evening and in the morning. Our dog was welcome everywhere, especially in the hotel gardens! The bed was comfortable and we were right on the edge of the Old Town of Angoulême.

The staff were warm and attentive and dinner and breakfast were delicious. It was clear that this hotel cares about quality ingredients and attention to detail. Parking was convenient and the grounds of the hotel were pretty.

Although our room was perfectly comfortable, I would have preferred a more sympathetic and gentle decoration style instead of bright rainbow colored trim with LCD lights in a very modern, boxy room. The room style jarred a little with the beautiful historic French exterior of the hotel.... But that's just a taste preference, not a criticism.

Parking on site. Very comfortable bed. The view. The location. The staff were really great. The breakfast was really good. If you like a gin and tonic, get the barman to make you one, you won't regret it!

In our room no milk or selection of teas and coffees. A kettle alone does not work.

We had chosen the hotel as is not to far from the station and when we arrived we found lovely hotel with a really good view over Angouleme. The dinner we had was excellent as were the breakfasts. There is a really good underground carpark under the hotel which made parking with Bikes on the car very safe.

Central location

The car park, there’s a good entrance to the car park, but getting out is difficult if you have an SUV, we damaged a wheel as you have to go down a spiral loop which is too small for large cars. We were about an inch from damaging the bodywork of the car.

Staff was very friendly, helpful, and effective. Laundry service was finished and returned the same day.

Laundry lost one pair of women's underwear. Light above the bathroom mirror was out, hindering makeup application. It was reported to the front desk and repair attempts were quickly made. Unfortunately the problem could not be addressed merely by replacing the light bulb, so it could not be addressed during our visit.
