The hotel, room and grounds are tidy and clean. Staff were professional, very nice, helpful and always greeted us with a warm smile. The small studio was quaint and had everything one would need to make light meals. Nice walking trails very close proximity to the hotel. The location is fantastic! Ascain is a beautiful small village. The area has many other interesting villages that are within a 10-40 min drive away. We would come back again.

The Hotel Alaia was a perfect stopover on our journey from the UK to Southern Spain. It wasn't far from the motorway in a small village in the pyrenees. Our room opened on to the garden/parking area which was very convenient as we had our dog with us. The kitchen facilities meant we could cook our own food. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

Quiet little village with a very good restaurant offering the most sublime Veal sweetbreads ever.

We'd have appreciated an air conditioner. There was one night that was stiflingly hot. Curtains at the balcony doors would offer some privacy too when there no option but to keep the doors open for some air.

Conveniently located for a road trip. The little village is very charming. The host very kindly phoned me to arrange the check in and everything was perfect. I suggest this place without doubts.

The toiltet suited to handicap people it is not so charming as the rest of the place, but i guess it could be the law in France.

I really can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Pristine condition, in a quiet setting, very short stroll to a magnificent village with many excellent restaurants. Staff were friendly & most helpful. Comfortable bed with small kitchen & outside table. I will definitely be returning.

Super small Hotel, in a great small town with good range of eateries on the door step. Attractive recently revamped rooms with large comfy beds. Parking available or large public carpark 50M.

Not a lot of space .... restricted movements had to be made by both of us suggest single accomodation rating I very small table and 1 flimsy/Wonky table chair Bearing in mind the the above the additional price for the dog (Cocker Spaniel) €8.50 per night was thought excessive.

The style of the house is so nice.Everything all good in the residence.İt is so close to the centre.The view of the room to the mountain is so cute

Great location, quiet apartment, parking. Dogs accepted. Very comfortable big bed. Lovely breakfast. Very pretty town. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The parking is very small so we couldn’t park there any of the nights, but there is a public parking just next to the hotel where you can leave your car over night
