The staff at the Hotel les Negociants could not be kinder or more helpful. There is great bike storage, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is small and windowless but the breakfast is good value.

Be sure to clarify if you have a shower or tub - we had a hand held shower only with no curtain or enclosure so it was a bit awkward. There are very few outlets in the room.

Great hotel with welcoming staff - nothing is too much trouble. We arrived at lunchtime on bikes soaked through from heavy rain. Our bikes were quickly put in safe storage and noticing the hotel has a popular restaurant we ate a delicious plat du jour (only €11)while our room was being prepared. The room was large, warm with good quality linen and towels and a very comfortable bed. Location very good near train station and town centre. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very helpful snd kindoffering advice about local shops and kindly booking taxis for us. There was a selection of bars and restaurants within a very short walk to the hotel. The hotel is directly across the road from the station making it very convenient. The hotel is in a nice part of town and is handy for any shops you might wish to use. Breakfast selection was OK and served in a quiet room.

On the 2nd night there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke drifting into our room, even though we kept our window closed. There was some creaking noise in our room whenever anyone in an adjacent rooms, or a room above ours moved around. No shower curtain. Shower was hand held.

The location of the hotel is great! The staff is very welcoming. The restaurant is very nice, as well.

There was a damp smell in the room, but I think that was because there is no door to the bathroom.

Very good central location, near the station and they also have a garage to put your car. My main positive comment is about the staff. The lady on the desk was very welcoming and helpful, that makes all the difference when you in a foreign city for the first time and tired after a long journey. The street is very quiet at night too,

A bit weird having the WC in a separate room from the bathroom. Only a slight niggle.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, secure place on site for our bicycles, comfortable bed and a room with a view. Breakfast was fine- very basic but I was happy they had gluten free bread for me.

The hotel location is exellent: just a few steps to the train station which has a safe and vivid vibe- the city was lovely. The hotel staff members were very friendly, supportive and practical in a casual and nice way. I like the modern simplicity of the hotel where you can feel relaxed. The room size was very good and quiet; the room charge was really good value. We had a comfortable and relaxed stay - we just needed so.

We satisfied much the hotel room for a very good price. The bathroom might be even greater by adding a little touch of taste. I think it was a tiny/ minor mistake but there was only one set of towels for two. We managed though for that night so we did not claim. Sure they would have brought another set if we had requested.

parking was advertised and in the event efficient but instructions should have been provided before arrival. it was difficult to to find a safe place to wait with the car while my passenger entered the hoteltoreceive parking instructions

The room was large and bright and airy and served by both stairs and a lift. All the beds were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath (though not full length but still nice) and shower attachment. We had a nice view of the street below. The location was very good with lots of cafes and boulangeries close by. The hotel is perfectly situated for the train and bus station which are only a couple of minutes away. The staff were excellent - particularly the very kind man who took trouble to work out what trains were running and helped us organise our travel plans to save us time and money. The plans he suggested worked perfectly.

There was a takeaway pizza restaurant opposite with a good wood oven. The pizzas were actually very nice and reasonably priced but this did generate a fair amount of traffic from the delivery scooters in the late evenings. The noise generated wasn't a big problem for us, and was outweighed by all the good things about the hotel. In summer this might be a bit difficult, but the room we were in had air conditioning, so with this on there would probably be no noise problem.
