The apartment is very well equipped and nicely decorated. It can easily accommodate three or four people. The location is very convenient and easily accessible by car. There are plenty of free parking spaces in the surrounding area. And it was a short walk form the city center. Very good option at a reasonable price in Valence.

The only thing to point out is that the apartment is on the first floor and there are no elevators, so people with accessibilities restrictions should look for another option.

No free parking in the area (only « blue zone » parking: limited to 90 minute parking, and there were no spots at all in the immediate area), since we had not been informed, the parking situation was stressful and annoying. If we had known how difficult parking would be, we would have paid the extra 25 euros. Also the street was very narrow, hard to park close by even just to unload the car. When we got there, the code to get the keys didn’t work and since I had left my phone in my car a couple of blocks away, it was really frustrating. A man who was walking into the building helped us call the owner, fortunately. The owner never apologized for the inconvenience and he didn’t sound particularly nice or welcoming, but he gave us the new code so we could get in fortunately quickly after we called him. Also he never gave us the WiFi password when we asked him on text, I had to call him about it the next day (I really think the WiFi login should be written right there in the apartment so that we don’t have to contact him about it in the first place). However he kept texting us to remind us to pay for the local tax so it felt a bit unfriendly and we really needed the WiFi password. The worst thing was the smelly towels, pillows and bedsheets (it felt as if they all needed a good wash with better detergent or bleach), the strong musty smell made us feel uncomfortable the whole time we were there. There were also a large stain on one of the blankets. The silverware was also a bit limited and there was no bottle openers, the soap dispensers were empty. While the apartment wasn’t dirty, it didn’t feel thoroughly clean. The shower got plugged the second night (not sure why, we had not even washed our hair that day); luckily, it drained okay the next day but it was still annoying to deal with stagnant soapy water in the shower. We didn’t know how to work the coffee maker, so that was another cause of frustration.

Cleanliness - the jug had a stinking foreign object in it and cutlery was dirty. Parking - advertised as free parking which is not true. Position - the room was a long way to the centre of Valence. Apartment - was super cramped, had a sloping floor and the entry was dark, dirty and dingy. Access - had spiral stairs which made entry with luggage very difficult.
