Very welcoming host family. Roms very clean. French breakfast of croissants, baguette, coffee, tea and jams, bu also yogurt, cheese or cereal. Home made jam. Residence is at walking distance to centre of Avranches. Find the botanic gardens which have a great view of Mt.St.Michel in the distance.

Little difficult to find as it is on a one way street that comes off an oddly shaped roundabout. The entrance to the street looks more like a yard or garage entrance. Note that restaurants in Avranches are largely closed on Sunday and Monday nights so find one by 7pm or you will have to find a takeaway.

The owner/proprietor was very kind and helpful, and very accommodating. I arrived very early, and she let me place my things in my room while I went to explore the town center and she finished cleaning and preparing the room for my stay. The location is within easy walking distance to Avranches city center.

The temperatures in Avranches in early June were warmer than usual, and there was no air conditioning in the room. I can't imagine how it must be in mid-July. Also, there was no electrical outlet near the desk, so I couldn't plug my laptop to power to charge it. The furniture was arranged in an odd way for the sloped-ceiling room. The four guests in the other rooms rose earlier for breakfast and had eaten all of the charcuterie.

Breakfast was terrific with croissants, breads, meats, cheeses, coffee and cream. The host are friendly, helpful, and speak excellent English. Room, bed, bathroom, and shared facilities were very good.

It was a challenge to navigate our car with GPS to the right one-way street in order to reach this booking. The on-site parking was regular street parking. This worked out fine - it's a quite neighborhood - but wasn't what I would have expected when looking at a listing like this. Maybe that' s due to my American expectations of what on-site parking is supposed to mean.

Everything! The location, the hostess, the beds, the privacy, the local foods. The location is the perfect balance of greenery and city. There was an exceptional restaurant 5 mins away called Le Littre. The views and the birds in the morning at our window were absolutely enchanting. I would highly recommend to anyone. It’s one of the best vacation stays I’ve ever had. I truly thank the hostess with all my heart for making the space and the experience as it was.

Nothing! Everything was so good.

This is a 2/3 bedroomed annexe in the house grounds - breakfast is served in a communal kitchen where there are sofas to relax and a cooker/fridge. Hosts are very friendly and efficient - would recommend and revisit - but be aware - this is not a hotel. Safe place to store our bikes.

Access. The road "Rue du Franc" is on the right BEFORE the roundabout (which is kidney shaped) and there is no sign, either for the road or le nid du Franc (until you get there). Sat Nav says "go right AT the roundabout. I missed it several times!

Excellent location, very short walk to town center. Owner was very welcoming and helpful, we would have loved to have stayed for a few days more.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Nid du Franc. It's a spacious house with a well fitted communal area and several en-suite bedrooms, close to the centre of Avranches. Breakfast was excellent. The host and the family are really lovely, accommodating, friendly and helpful. We hope to return 😊

A small TV in the room would be great.

Convenient location, easy to walk to restaurants in Avranches for dinner. Comfortable bed. Easy parking and easy drive to Mont Saint-Michel and other sites in Normandy. Tasty French breakfast.

What a wonderful find brilliant location just a short walk to everything, and the facilities were brilliant. A lovely friendly greeting by a lovely landlady and the breakfast was lovely. All in all a fantastic stay highly recommend.
