I had a short but truly memorable stay at Hotel de la Sologne. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The host was exceptionally kind and attentive, going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The rooms were immaculate—beautifully decorated, peaceful, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It felt like a true haven to return to after exploring the area. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Beaugency’s charming old town. Just a short stroll away are stunning historical sights like the Château de Beaugency, the ancient bridge over the Loire, and the Abbaye Notre-Dame. Everything is within easy walking distance, yet the hotel remains a peaceful retreat. I couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore this beautiful part of the Loire Valley. I highly recommend Hotel de la Sologne to anyone looking for comfort, charm, and a warm welcome in one of France’s most picturesque towns.

It was perfect.

Breakfast: Traditional; bread/pastry-based continental with fruit juice, yogurt, fresh fruit and good coffee, including refills. Magnificent ancient house with impressive stone-steps entrance but difficult with wheelchair/crutches Bicycle storage: secure in an 11th C tunnel. 

We were told breakfast at 08.30 — is that OK? We would have liked an earlier time. However, when arriving other guests had or were just finishing. This could have been a language misunderstanding. Being long distance cyclists we like an early breakfast 06.30/07.00 so we are not cycling in the heat of the afternoon. During breakfast Madame cleared away the used tables’s crockery and the noises of hand-washing them in the next was loud and not relaxing. Jarring unexpected sounds makes one jump.

Exquisitely French! If you love French culture you will love this hotel. Situated right in the centre of this stunning historic town and within easy walking distance of a good choice of bars and restaurants but on a quiet square. The staff were very helpful, the room was super clean with a good hot shower and comfortable bed. Optional, traditional breakfast in the morning if desired. Would highly recommend

I have visited this hotel on many occasions during the period 1998 to 2010 when the hotel was owned by another couple who I got to know very well. Very welcoming and we became friends. Now there is a new owner, very kind and attentive.

The main problem was that I was only given a face towel, and as there was a shower in my room, I could have done with a larger one ! The room was to say the least, small, the bathroom was very cramped, if you were using the toilet, it was very interesting indeed ! I think I prefer to leave memories from the past as they are. All things considered, I felt the cost was a little expensive. Breakfast was as in previous times, fresh and tasty, but I could have done with more milk as I don't like strong coffee ! I did feel Madam felt I should have had it black !

Nice small hotel in beatiful town, full of old-fashion atmosphere. Pleasant neaty rooms, and the building. Parking near hotel if you find free places. But in general free parking is easy to be found.

I think the breakfast could be much more reach and variose.

Very pleasant stay, very well run hotel with a manager who takes great care of her guests. Perfect bedding and beautifully decorated room. We really liked the bucolic patio. Finally, breakfast was frugal. A very nice address

Green tea only in the room, but that's a minor niggle. Not sure if tea & coffee facilities were advertised!

Great location at heart of this charming village. Secure garage for bikes. Very good breakfast and friendly hosts.

There was no kettle in the room and the public room wasn’t very comfortable or inviting.

Location excellent. Friendly and comfortable hotel. Breakfast good, but could be a little more substantial - eggs, ham, etc could be offered rather than one having to ask/read a small board... Overall - a very pleasant stay, good value.

Nothing to dislike!

There was a secure place for my bike. My room overlooked the square. Relatively quiet.

Breakfast was definitely over priced; on one occasion was not offered either ham or cheese, other guests got both.
