La Perluette comes as close to our ideal model of a B&B as they get. There is plenty of character without compromising any of the comfort and modern amenities, the owners (Dominique and George) are a wonderful, charming, and very inviting couple, and they are extremely helpful with lots of local, very relevant information. We took their restaurant leads three nights, and they were all excellent, even on two of the more challenging nights (Sunday and Monday, when many establishments are routinely closed). They also gave us some helpful hints on visiting the Chateau, those hints saved us time and effort, and made the visits more enjoyable. We would give this place a "12" rating out of 10, if the rating system allowed it. Superb breakfasts are served, with multiple choices, lots of them home made, and rotated daily. Easy and free city parking less than 300 feet away.. Highly, highly recommended, and probably would require well in advance booking in higher season.

Don't know where to start - "La Perluette" exceeded our expectations in every detail. The house and the rooms are friendly and furnished with great attention to detail. The beds are comfortable and none of the two rooms we booked left a single wish unfulfilled. Rarely have we been welcomed as warmly as at “La Perlutte” and we more than enjoyed the exchange with the two owners (the tips for excursions, restaurants etc. were great and even information material for nearby castles, for example, was available). The breakfast was fantastic (with homemade jam, cakes etc) and we were sad that we had to leave after only 2 days. Last but not least: the location could hardly have been better. Just a short walk to Blois Castle and a great view of the Loire.

there's nothing not to like here

La Perluette is quirky and full of history as it is several hundred years old. Our room was a good size and clean with a very comfortable bed. The location is excellent being only 10 minutes walk into the old town which is a very interesting place to explore with lots of good bars and restaurants to choose from. The hosts of the property were fantastic and they made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good and all the guests sit on one table which allows for conversation between guests and we loved this!

Hosts were kind and helpful. Great location. Clean. Even provided doggie bag for breakfast.

Stairs to second floor are very difficult to negotiate. Tiny and spiraled. Very noisy with people next door. Old house so no wall insulation. We could hear every word they said. Also even if you get a first floor that still requires stairs to enter the place again spiraled no handrail. And entry is level 0 so more stairs to first floor. They did carry luggage. Def not for older people or unsteady people.

Dominique and George are amazing hosts. Very interested in ensuring you have a good time in their beautiful city, they are full of good advice. They were very welcoming, responsive and attentive to their guests. Breakfast was the best of our holiday. Location by the river is great, especially if you have a room at the front of the guesthouse (which sadly we didn't). Close to all the sight seeing, with parking nearby.

Being an older residence our floor boards were terribly creaky. It comes with buildings of this type but we were very conscious of the noise we were making every time walked through our room.

Between a great location, charming and informative hosts, and a nicely restored room, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Blois. The breakfasts were consistently tasty, with plenty of choices. Our hosts spoke fluent English (soooo much better than our French...) and that made it easy to get suggestions for sightseeing and dining. The Loire River is across the street. The location is within an easy walk of the Château Royal de Blois and to transportation to Chambord and other chateaux on the river. We definitely would recommend La Perluette to our friends.

Our room was on the top floor with an increasingly narrow, steep staircase which was not luggage-friendly, but our hosts definitely helped us with that.

Beautifully presented room and breakfast in an elegant and very historical manor home. Our stay in Blois was wonderful at La Perluette. We enjoyed yummy local cheeses, an assortment of sweet and savory breads as well as tasty homemade jams and local products made in house by lovely Dominique herself. The location could not have been better with the property facing right in front of the Loire River. We enjoyed views from both sides of Blois from our room. From our bathroom window we had views of the Chateau Blois, the charming village of BLOIS, and from our bedroom window we enjoyed views of the gorgeous Loire River flowing by. The light was stunning for taking photos and there were a variety of pretty restaurants within 5 minutes walk from the doorstep. Our host were super helpful and kind from the moment we arrived and are very charming people. A person won't find a better location to experience the stunning town of Blois.

This is a beautiful and lovingly renovated house right on the Loire river with amazing views and near the centre of town. Most importantly, Dominique and Georges are dedicated and enthusiastic hosts whose care, knowledge, expertise and fantastic cooking (breakfast) made our stay very special.

Excellent guest hoyse, very welcoming and co-operative hosts. They went out of their way to accommodate an early check-in for us. The everyday breakfast was amazing, one of the highlights of our stay at La Perluette along with interesting conversations with our hosts. They even provided us a wine bottle in our room, as per our special request. I cannot praise enough about this property, the hosts and their hospitality.
