The authenticity of the building, built originally as a hotel in the early 20th century, and now updated. The buffet breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of choices, including many local producers of cheese, yoghurt, bread and pastries. It was pleasure to use the beautiful elevator, an original mechanical marvel of engineering. The location is excellent for seeing and accessing all the local sights and restaurants.

The lobby layout/design seemed a bit haphazard to me on arrival but the friendly helpful staff made my check experience a very good one. The whole area works well as a pleasant waiting place with a back lounge and casual bar cafe for sitting.

Great location, next to chateau. Fairly good AC which was important in a heatwave. Grocery store across the street. Friendly staff. Fantastic old elevator. As always Ibis gets extra points for accommodating cyclists with a safe place to park the bikes, which is why we stay there

Not enough hooks in bathroom. Great to have a drying rack and hot water pot. TV is not smart🙄 so only has French channels with no options for those of us whose French is not so good. After a long hot day of cycling sometimes you just want to watch Netflix with a beer from the downstairs bar! 🙄🍻🚴‍♀️

The hotel is wonderful and front desk staff exceptional and over the top helpful. They were the best reception staff I have ever encountered in the hotel- especially Gabriel and the young woman who worked from desk on Thursday and early Friday- she completely handled getting us a cab for our tour of chambord chateau and back to train station when we were leaving. The only suggestion I would make is if the hotel would install small room safes.

Great location in easy walking distance of everything in Blois. There's a multistorey car park 100m away and a small supermarket opposite. Nice little bar next to reception. Really good breakfast in dining room. This was a good base for visiting local chateaux over 3 days.

Room could have been a little bit bigger. Instead of an actual cupboard there was a hanging frame and shelves, but I was there only 3 nights...

Our stay was off to a bad start as we were given a smoking room with disgusting smell. But we called the reception and they gave us another room and that one was perfect. From then on we enjoyed every moment. The room was clean, modern and spacious enough. The location of the hotel was excellent - walking distance to all the attractions and the bars / restuarants. The parking while not on site, was close enough and had good price. The staff especially in the afternoon / evening were very friendly. Fantastic value for money and a perfect hotel to spend a few nights in lovely Blois.

Well located hotel, right next to the Blois castle, though if you're traveling by train, keep in mind that it's a trek to go up to the station. But that's how the town is built, so nothing Ibis can do about that. Bed was comfortable, toilets and showers clean, and the necessities provided. Reception & staff were very accommodating. It was too hot for May and the A/C hadn't been turned on yet in the hotel, so we asked for a fan and were provided one. Also, the day of our departure, we'd left our luggage with the concierge there and we can back later in the afternoon to pick them up. We had some food with us (from a local creperie) and asked if we could eat in the hotel's bar (since we'd already given back our room) and were provided with seats, a table, cutlery, and everything. It was very nice of them.

Beware if you're traveling during April/May and it's too hot. You can't control the temperature from the room, so you have to wait for the hotel to enable the A/C, which didn't happen during our stay despite 27C temperatures outside and a rather stuffy feeling inside the rooms. We had to ask for a fan to help with air circulation. And if you need to open the windows to aerate, the outside street is always busy and noisy, even late at night, so you better sleep soundly, heh. Otherwise, everything was cool. The pillows are a bit thin, though.

Clean, simple room and the same bathroom. Breakfast was good with sweet and savory options. Boxes with fruits to take for a day was a nice additon. Hotel have a great location. We enjoyed our stayed.

Rooms are small and simple. No wardrobe, just rack which wasn't enough high for dresses but at the end I did't mind simplicity as long as it's clean and it was clean.

Very well located to the Blois castle, a commercial street and the train station. Had a room facing the back and there was zero noise. Breakfast was abondant and available from 6:30 onwards which is good because I am an early riser. Plenty of tourist info in town and castles in the area.

Great location right in the middle of town. Comfy bed. Good shower. Good value for money in terms of location, comfort and cleanliness. Quiet. Blois was an unexpectedly gorgeous town.

Room is small and the website shows much bigger ones, even for our budget, but that’s ok as we only stayed one night. Would have liked coffee facilities. If you have a roof box on your car, you won’t fit in the recommended car park but we just parked on a side road a ten minute walk away.

Central location in Blois. Historic but renovated and well maintained building. Friendly, helpful staff. Good space for storing our bicycles. Welcoming public spaces. Excellent breakfast. It did not feel like a chain hotel even though it is part of Ibis.
