The staff (family) at this hotel were very good and helpful. The room, breakfast and location of this hotel were acceptable, but not notable. The room did have good lighting, which we appreciate.

The location did not seem great, but I think the layout of the town makes it difficult to have a very good location (close to train station, restaurants and the old city; this location does not meet any of these very well). I do think most people visit Carcassonne by car, which we did not.

The hotel is beautiful, well-located, and has all the necessary amenities. But what stood out to me was the service. They were always attentive to my every need. And they are very warm and considerate people. I spoke with them about the number of pizzerias in the city; the next day, at breakfast, I found on my table a handwritten list of the countries in the world that consume pizzas the most (the extra mille). I must also point out that I was never hungry after the delicious and varied breakfast.

A good option with an adjusted price in a beautiful 19th century house very well preserved with all its charm. The setting is quiet, easily accessible by car, and within walking distance of a pleasant stroll to the main square of La Bastide. Pleasant and very polite staff.

Nothing to complain about. As an option for improvement, I think a rearrangement of the decor could make the beautiful house look even better.

We don't do detailed reviews very often, but this hotel deserves one! It more than met our expectations with price, location, charm, and quality it just was delightful. We had to leave early, so we did not get to try breakfast. We agreed as we were walking out in the morning that we would enjoy staying here again. If you are in Carcassonne for a visit, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Oh, and it has nice off-street parking, though we did not have a car. It is walkable to the bastide, bus stop outside and sat market would be very close too.

Just a short walk to the old city with plenty of places to eat or sit and watch the world go by with a coffee. Just breakfast in this charming old hotel, but recommendations for local restaurants were perfect. Carcassonne centre is well worth a visit. The train trip from London was an adventure, much more interesting than flying.

Local taxi service was a little unreliable. Shame there is no sitting room in the hotel

The location was a long walk from the train station, about 20 minutes and the streets were poorly lit and uneven at 10 pm. The breakfast was basic, pastries were not fresh, we would have liked a more varied breakfast.

Didier was very welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked really well. As we stayed in July it was needed. The hotel allowed us to park our car for the day whilst we watched the Tour de France in the town. A very traditional hotel which made a pleasant stay ☺️

Nowhere to properly sit outside (other than a couple of tables in the noisy car park). Noisy if you want the windows open (there was good air-con & effective sound proofed windows when shut though).

The Hotel had a nice old-fashioned feel about it, the staff were welcoming on arrival. The car park was secure, which was good. The bed was comfortable, and the room was a fair size. The hotel is located not too far away from local restaurants.

The air conditioning unit was slightly noisy, but it was.bearable.

Nothing really. It was a little confusing how to get in and out as there are tables and a terrace for the restaurant blocking the way a little but it’s not a big deal. The breakfast was ok. A lot of packet food and the worst pastries and bread we had but I do expect a lot of french pastries!
