It was in the perfect location. If you catch the airport shuttle bus don’t hang around at the airport as it leaves 45 mins after the flight arrival. We missed it and there isn’t another until the next flight arrives. Luckily an Uber arrived quickly. The drop off stop is at The Dome, which is literally a few minutes walk to Sur le Quai. Denise is an amazing host & nothing is too much trouble. The room was absolutely spotless & as we were there for a week she regularly checked it & changed the bedding & towels. The pool was just a perfect oasis to come back to for a few hours relaxation. All her restaurant recommendations were great! Breakfast was delicious & Denise made it different every day with homemade cake & jams. It was only a 12 minute walk into the Cité de Medieval, although up some steep steps and the same distance into the ‘Newer’ town so just perfect.

Nothing.

Loved the room, the location, the view, the breakfast - everything! Denise was a fabulous host, so kind and helpful. She had great recommendations for restaurants etc. and it was lovely to be able to enjoy the pool and relax in the sun after a lot of walking on a hot day. Sur le quai is a gorgeous, warm and friendly place to stay in Carcassonne, ideally located between the mediaeval city and the town centre. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends/family heading that way.

There was nothing I didn't like. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe a couple more pillows/firmer pillows, but overall everything was great. The place was exceptionally clean, which is always good to see. Thanks to Denise and her husband for a lovely few days.

Everything! - The hosts, Madame D. and Monsieur L., were lovely, helping, caring, easy... - Lovely room interior. Modern but still a traditional touch - Exceptionally clean - The breakfast. Every day fresh croissants, homemade jam, choose how you'd like the eggs (cooked freshly by Madame D.), fruits - The impressive view to the Cité of Carcassonne during breakfast - There is a Nespresso machine for everybody "à discretion"

There was nothing we didn't like. There was no wastebin, other than the tiny one in the bathroom. But hey, this is manageable and not really a "didn't like" :-)

Sur le quai was lovely in every respect, with a most charming and helpful hostess who made an ample breakfast each morning, set out on the terrace with a spectacular view of the medieval city. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with facilities to make drinks provided. Denise even helped us to try and recover a lost item left on our train journey - very kind and friendly. It was an easy and a pleasant walk to the medieval city.

Nothing - we would choose to stay here again if we returned to Carcassonne.

Spacious, clean, and modern room ideally located in a quiet Street within an easy walking distance from the town centre and the chateau. Denise was an excellent host, who was always happy to assist us with suggestions of very good restaurants in Carcassonne and other general enquiries. She also prepared us a very good breakfast each morning The terrace overlooking the chateau was an added bonus (I particularly enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine from the hosts vineyard, sold at a very reasonable price!)

No complaints at all about the accommodation or the host Denise who we found to be very nice and helpful. The one issue I did have was the taxi ordered for the airport when we left, which we were told would be around 8 Euros, which I thought would be about right, possibly a bit low for the 5km journey. However, the taxi driver seemed to take us on a much longer route around the ring-roads of Carcassone and the meter ended up at 26 Euros, which I thought was excessive for what was meant to be a 5km trip! Obviously this wasn't Denise's fault.

The property, location, facilities and hosts were second to none! Its a small, but perfectly formed B&B. Denise, the host, couldn't do enough for us but neither did she impose in any way. Beautiful setting with the Citie behind which we could see from our bedroom and terrace while having breakfast and we were a few minutes into town for the beautiful shops and cafes. The interior decoration, including Denise’s artwork, was simply beautiful and tasteful. The breakfast was perfect. A range of different things to eat were on offer including fruit, fresh bread and croissants, yoghurt, cheeses, fruit juice and a selection of teas and coffees. Can't fault the place. Highly recommended and worth every penny!!!

There is nothing we could suggest to make any improvements.

Everything about the residence was exceptional and exactly what we were looking for. The location was a quiet residential street just on the river, halfway between the Medieval city and the more contemporary shopping and restaurant area. It was also around the corner from the Saturday market and the bus stop for the airport. Everything about the accommodation was first class. Room size, decor, facilities - guests have a dedicated balcony overlooking the city and access to a garden with private pool. The substantial continental breakfast also set you up for the day, Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a most comfortable stay. A special thanks to madam who still ensured we has breakfast served before our very early flight. The family also own their own small vineyard in the area and will sell you marvellous wine at a bargain price if you are having lunch or just want a drink to to admire the view from the balcony in the evening. Thoroughly recommend their Sauvignon.

Absolutely nothing. Can't fault it - even in the slightest.

Fantastic view over the city of Carcassonne from the good size shared balcony. The two B&B rooms are in an annexe separate from the main house. Small kitchen area with fridge and coffee/tea freely available. Excellent host and hostess. Very good breakfast on the balcony. Use of swimming pool. One of the best B&Bs that we've stayed in.

Nothing.

Denise was an amazing host. Friendly and happy to give restaurant recommendations and things to do. Breakfast was delicious with the fantastic view of the Old Cite. And a lovely pool to cool off in! Very comfortable room and great shower. Ideal location for a stay in Carcassonne. Also brilliant restaurant called Agape just around the corner.
