Excellent location between both towns. Very close to a restaurant street. The room had an unexpected bonus... a small kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine (should have been in the list of facilities). Excellent parking onsite. The blackout shutters were excellent for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was quite functional (for a French 200 year old house). The bed was comfortable and the room is a good size. WiFi could be a bit faster but was stable and adequate for our use. The hosts were very friendly and very helpful (Spoke excellent English as well as French and maybe other languages). Period features in the 200 year old mansion. Freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast.

Check in is a bit late in the day and a little inflexible (or maybe it came over that way in translation). The breakfast was a bit light and needed more options (such as eggs other than a single boiled egg or yogurt or cereal, etc).

Beautiful French chateau with a garden and pool, right on the edge of the Medieval Cité. The location was amazing - a quick walk into the Medieval Cité, with all the delights it has to offer. Great to be able to relax in the pool and read in the garden to escape any heat and crowds. The bedroom was lovely, clean, cool, comfortable and spacious. A fridge was provided, and the bathroom was also clean and large. The owners live in the chateau so were on hand to help with any queries. They were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, served in a pretty dining room. Carcassonne itself is absolutely worth a visit. We were sorry to leave! All in all a perfect stay.

We had a lovely spacious room and en suite in this beautiful old Manor House. Our room was very well appointed, comfortable and clean whilst also being very homely! The bathroom was spacious with everything we could need; the shower was good. Breakfast was really good with delicious fresh fruit, bread and croissants, freshly-squeezed orange juice, plenty of tea and coffee and the options of cold meat and cheese or eggs made to order. Fabulous! Having an informative text (about our room readiness and parking) just ahead of our stay was very useful and we had a lovely welcome from the owner when we arrived; she was very helpful. There’s plenty of places to sit or lounge in the lovely garden or by the heated swimming pool which we were welcome to use. The medieval city is a pleasant 700m walk (some uphill) from the Manor and there’s a wide choice of restaurants, cafés and bars a couple of minutes walk from the Manor as well as many more within the walls of the old city.

We were welcomed very warmly and given a map and talked through where to find good restaurants and places to see. We used 2 of the recommended restaurants and they were very good. Our room was amazing with a lovely view of the garden and pool and side view of the cite. The location is good, away from the noise of the cite but only a 15 min walk away. The breakfast was lovely. The room also had a little kitchen, which we didn't use, but the fridge was very useful for keeping our drinks cool. The private parking was a bonus and info on where to stop to drop luggage was useful and very straight forward. All in all, a lovely, peaceful b&b in carcassonne.

An amazing B&B furnished lavishly and uniquely, giving a truly French ambience to our stay. Our room was spacious and sumptuous with a kitchenette. We picnicked in the garden for supper. The pool was inviting but we didn't have time in our overnight visit to make use of it. We were able to park our car on site in the small car park to the side of the garden. We unloaded at the front of the house first, as this was closer to the room. Breakfast was served by the hosts and was very pleasant and elegant. We loved this place and wished we had been staying longer.

Beautiful historic home. Room was spacious and the bathroom was as well. We had the orange room, could see the castle walls from bathroom window. Took a bit of doing getting to the house…you really have to follow Google maps closely. The host had sent photos of where to pull in, which was very helpful. Private parking is next to a secret garden area with pool, a welcome oasis! Breakfast was good, served elegantly. Congenial hostess gave us all the info needed to eat and explore in the historic area upon our arrival.

Bedroom overlooked busy road, which could be noisy at night, but once we remembered to use the interior shutters as our hostess had demonstrated, was much quieter.

The lady of the house was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc. Breakfast was charming like being a guest in a home. We particularly liked the crockery and all the antique China service ,freshly boiled eggs were great! Location superb, swimming and sunloungers great ,especially as it was 39°. plenty sockets, comfortable bed ,lovely linen, mini bar and fridge very useful ,good secure parking,no extra charge! Great communication prior to arrival.

This is a home from home. The rooms are beautifully designed, well maintained and homely - and stocked with thoughtful additions such as local wines. On arrival we were given a map showing our location and ten restaurant recommendations which made our overnight stay really easy. You can leave your car securely parked in the grounds and walk up into the walled town in just a few minutes. We didn’t get chance to use the pool but it looked great.

Beautiful old house and garden in a great location. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and we even had the sweetest little waitress during our breakfast :) The weather in Carcassonne was very warm during our stay (+35 C at the highest) but the AC worked fine and the temperature inside the apartment was pleasant. After checking out, we were able to leave our car parked while exploring the city for one more day. Truly a great place to stay at!

If we could wish for something more, it would be a toaster in the apartment kitchen.
