Location perfect, between the old city and the new centre. Can see the castle from the breakfast/bar area, impressive. Staff very helpful and professional. Room tidy and clean on arrival. Facilities great (TV and channels, coffee machine, etc.) Beautiful lobby. Large, private porch from which you can see the castle. Large and beautiful bathroom. Fresh juices at breakfast, and a couple of nice cheeses. Wide selection of bread and sweet pastry. Air conditioning was amazing. Made a massive difference due to the high temp during our stay.

Bedroom size itself is smaller than realised in the advert (excluding porch, separate toliet, bathroom etc.) Not much bigger than the size of the bed. Porch floor needs cleaning. Hotel room floor wasn't vacuumed after arrival (and if it were, didn't look it.) Breakfast was not to our liking (e.g. meat, eggs, mushrooms barely warm, no option to order hot food from the kitchen, coffee from a machine, boil your own egg...)

The staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient. Hotel amenities and facilities were thoughtful and added to the overall experience. Location was very convenient. Rooms were comfortable; views were atmospheric - reminders of a by-gone age. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

We thought parking could have cost less. Breakfast was a little expensive and surcharge for room service was thought to be overly expensive. Cost for sauna/steam room was thought to be expensive. For one guest, the maid did not make up the bed every day.

We loved the location, just a short walk from the Cité. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the pool was the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring the castle. Our room on the third floor had a stunning view, and we really appreciated being placed there. Breakfast was a highlight too, enjoying it on the outdoor terrace made the experience even more special. Special mention to the bartender: his London Mule was exceptional.

Nothing to complain about. Overall, the hotel fully met our expectations, from the welcoming staff to the quality of the amenities, everything was just as we hoped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

- The view. - Great location. - Very spacious, clean and modern room. - Good breakfast. - Free public parking approx. 50m from the hotel.

- We felt that the pet charge was very high (and per night) given the level of service (other hotels have provided pet beds, bowls, poo bags, toys and/or treats, etc.) - Although we do not expect to be allowed to take the dog into the restaurant, we were disappointed that dogs are not allowed anywhere in the hotel apart from the rooms. They weren’t even allowed on the terrace. This meant that we went out for dinner during the thunderstorm when we otherwise would have had dinner at the hotel (so the hotel missed out there). - In short, we felt the hotel was more dog tolerant than dog friendly (which was not our experience on the rest of our trip).

The whole experience far exceeded our expectations. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. The staff, the room and facilities are amazing. Did I mention that VIEW. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were the best and I'm picky. Did I mention the VIEW!!! The continental breakfast buffet had a great variety of fresh quality offerings. With Champagne included!We had dinner on our first evening it was superb. Be sure you make a reservation in advance as we were unable to dine our second evening as there was no seating available, the food is that good. If you want to get pampered stay here. They also have an indoor pool so make sure you pack a swimsuit.

The location was great, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was quite small and a bit tired, but clean and adequate. Very welcome complimentary drinks plus tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel was quite difficult to find and Parking was located in a public underground car park, about half a mile away from the hotel. The unpleasant smell in the reception area which wasn’t masked by the overpowering air fresheners. Our room was located overlooking a busy main road and we were woken early the next morning by noise from the street due to deliveries being made. We were also kept awake by guests in the next room who seemed to be hammering on other doors and yelling in the early hours of the morning. We mentioned this on check out and were told that no one else had complained. Definitely not worth €179, plus parking!

Very stylish hotel in a great location just over a small bridge from the old town / Cite. Room was lovely, although slightly strange arrangement with the bathroom - two open spaces at either end of it with no doors. So anyone sitting at the lovely table by the window had full view of the other person in the shower! Maybe it’s just us being a bit British - we’re not that European in our approach to sharing bathroom time! Other than that, really lovely hotel with a beautiful outdoor sun terrace facing the old castle.

A couple of doors on the bathroom would have been nice!

The most friendly and welcoming staff we have experienced in a long time. The hotel is beautiful and very chic. The interior decor is so well designed and there is a lovely continuity of colours throughout. It is very relaxing with plenty of beautiful and comfortable seating throughout. A very special view of La Cite from our balcony and the patio. Our room was quite large, extremely comfy large bed with quality bed linen. Huge bathroom with a great shower. Only a short walk th La Cite. Nice pool, if a little small.

Having to pay ti use the sauna. No door from the bathroom to the room.

I did not like being charged for two expensive glasses of wine, which we did not order or have, we checked with them when this order was made and informed them we were not in the hotel at the time. On checking out, they insisted on payment of this order, very disappointed to pay for something we did not have.

I think the hotel staff must have upgraded our room as it was incredible! A hottub in the bathroom and the best view of the old town. We would have spent hours on the really large balcony if the weather was better. We were greeted with a selection of local cakes which was a really lovely way to start the holiday.

Nothing - we'd definitely stay here again when in carcassonne.
