My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Manior de la Malartrie in May 2025, during a 3-week tour of France. We both agree that our stay at the Manior was the highlight of our trip. The location is ideal, there is plentiful private parking, and the rooms, grounds and common areas are impeccably maintained. Ouafaa is such a gracious host - she carted our luggage to our suite, helped with dinner reservations, and even hosted an evening get-together for all of the guests. And the daily breakfast spread was simply the best I have ever experienced in all my years of traveling. We highly recommend this property, and can’t wait to return ourselves. Thank you Ouafaa!

We have traveled all over the world and I think this property was the most beautiful! It's hard to describe without seeing in person, but it is stunning. We had a huge room with a balcony over the pool area. There are extensive gardens all around the property, including a very unique terraced area in the back. Each night, my husband and I climbed stone paths and steps to a small table and chairs perched above the house. We enjoyed our wine and local bread and cheese we bought in the town. We were able to see the whole valley and river, and of course the beautiful Manoir de la Malartrie. The nearby town is also stunning. This area of France was really breathtaking. We will be back!

Rick Steves says it's the best breakfast in France...and it is ! Omelettes made to order, countless choices of cheeses, meats. breads, lots of delicious home made desserts and dishes, including beef bourguignon that took her 48 hours to make ! It's a beautiful mansion / palace right on the river with extensive, lovely grounds, gardens and a large heated pool. The host is the kindest, most hard working and lovely person you could meet. I was playing her son's classical guitar in the parlor and she brought over a carafe of her delicious homemade walnut wine to share with my wife. An amazing and wonderful experience.

The Manoir de la Malartrie ranks among the best hotels I've ever stayed in in all my years of travel. Beautiful, spacious room, comfortable bed, gorgeous bathroom facilities, the best breakfast I or my partner have ever experienced anywhere in France (or for that matter anywhere else), and Ouaffa is as gracious and helpful a hostess as could be imagined. The gardens are beautiful, the heated pool a bonus- and of course the setting, 5 minutes out of La Roque Gageac, cannot be surpassed. And, to top it off, free parking on the property. Cannot recommend Manoir highly enough.

We were absolutely blown away the moment we arrived. The Manoir de la malartrie exceeded our expectations. Rooms were beautiful. Light and airy, comfortable beds, and decorated beautifully. The gardens, pool area, little nooks amongst the amazing manicured gardens. A self serve bar area. Simply amazing. So much thought put into this place to make it perhaps one of the most wonderful experiences during our travels. It’s a must if you’re visiting this area. Nothing was too much trouble for our host. Hard working and always around to answer questions and give recommendations. I highly recommend The Manoir de la malartrie. I’ll be talking about this stay for years to come. Simply perfect!!!

This is one of the most charming places in the world! It is walking distance to the closest town, where there is food and shopping. The hostess was incredibly friendly as all the staff. They recommended places for us to go that were really fun. We had to leave early on the morning of our departure, and the hostess offered to put breakfast out early just for us. The breakfast is visually and gastronomically pleasing everything from sweet and savory, normal breakfast items, and unusual breakfast items

Manoir de la Malartrie was possibly the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The location was gorgeous, the property was immaculate, the rooms were luxuriously appointed, the breakfast was magnificient. Most importantly, the hostess was incredibly charming and extremely welcoming.

Nothing could have been better. This was a superb property. If we ever find ourselves in Dordogne, we will return. (We did not want to leave and wished we had planned a longer stay.)

This is a stunning place to stay if visiting La Roque Gageac or neighbouring areas. The grounds are beautiful, lovely pool area, all overlooking the river. The rooms are outstanding, large and beautifully appointed, all Clarins products in the bathroom, super comfortable bed. The owners are delightful and so welcoming. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had. A definite must stay.

Everything was perfect. Ouafaa and Daniel were great hosts and their son Jade was very helpful. The manoir is in an excellent location and you can walk on a path to the picturesque town of La Roque-Gageac in about 5 minutes. Our room was really well appointed with a super comfortable bed and nice views. The bathroom and shower were amazing! The breakfast was wonderful with many of the items prepared by Ouafaa herself and served in a room that could be a movie set. We wish we could have stayed longer!

What a spectacular property! The house was gorgeous, and the gardens left me green with envy. The host was exceptional, kind, caring, attentive, and, oh boy, can she cook. The room was huge, and all the toiletries, towels, lines, etc., were top-of-the-line. And the breakfast—well, I read people comment on that, and words did not do it justice. Just a wonderful stay.
