Excellent value for money hotel in optimal location beautifully appointed among the trees on the outskirts of lovely coutances. Excellent attentive staff. Area peaceful. Breakfast delicious with option of freshly squeezed orange juice. Complimentary tea/coffee/water in a sitting area for guests off the foyer which is a lovely idea. Also complimentary water in room.
There are no negatives Wish we could stay longer!

This quiet hotel is on the outskirts of Coutances surrounded by trees. It's very good value for money. The rooms are of good size and the beds very comfortable. Many of the rooms have recently been upgraded as have some of the larger salons. Breakfast is very good and the staff very friendly. A very good stop over for exploring the many local sites.

Very helpful reception who advised local restaurants and spoke English very well. Plenty of parking. Good size room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Good location near to main roads and a short drive to the centre. Breakfast was varied and good quality. Very good value for money.

The Cositel is one of our favourites when we visit Normandy. Well situated in a quiet location conveniently near the main roads north, east and south. The breakfast is good in the salon that has been expanded in the last 2 years. They can now also supply you with a satisfying ready made evening meal if needed. French towns are notorious for most of their restaurants being closed on Sunday evenings. But the new trend is to the 'Woks' that seems to be in most trading estates or suburbs. These are self-service buffets that will also grill the food of your choise if necessary. Good value and highly recommended! Coutance is no exception!

We arrived late at night, and we’re warmly welcomed. The bed was so comfortable and the room was clean had the free coffee in the lobby the morning we headed out.
