Dinner in the evening was fabulous. The dishes were all cooked to a really high standard and were fantastic. Attention to detail and superb waiting staff in that perfect french fashion. Even the breakfast the next day was elegant! We had a superior room at the back so couldn't hear any noise. It was very clean, spacious and quiet. Staff were all very efficent but the star was the food - truly delicious.

The bed was a little uncomfortable but that could have just been me after a long drive through France. I would like to see tea/coffee facilities in the rooms but this is rare in french hotels so not unusual.

The dinner was outstanding. Excellent value and the staff were professional and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The place is a little bit off the beaten track but in a lovely location. The nearby abbey is absolutely stunning.

Location was perfect for us, friends living close by, so booked for that reason. That said, what a find, lovely place and staff at the Auberge de L’abbaye. Staff amazingly hard working, from breakfast to night closing. Breakfast great.

That we didn’t get a chance to eat in the evening (eating out at friends house each night) as the restaurant looked popular and good food.

My wife who is presently using a walking stick was able to walk a short ditance to a very suitable room at ground floor level. The meal on our one night stay on this occasion was excellent and good value for its quality

The location is gorgeous by the river and abbey. The restaurant is superb and the room was very nice.

There was some road noise, although it’s a rarely used road, traffic went past at speed.
