Monique's hospitality was exceptional, a real treat. The accommodation was comfy. Located in the countryside, it was been very calm, and thanks to Monique's love for animals and nature there were hens, goats, rabbits, quails - it was a great pleasure for the children to meet them. Our little puppy was also interested in the local fauna - and was welcome here. :) In April the area was beautiful with the primroses blooming on the meadows. Monique also helped with ideas for excursions - Mont Saint-Michel, Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg with submarine Le Redoutable and an exhibition on the Titanic and aquariums, a beautiful hike at Nez de Joubourg at Cap de La Hague. A quiet rural location, 1.5 hours from Cherbourg port. The best and most varied breakfast of our 2.5 week trip, including home-reared duck eggs. We had use of the kitchen for lunches or evening meals. The triple room was huge with a big shower room. There was a nice patio area overlooking the 2 goats, 2 geese, 2 ducks, 3 hens & 2 rabbits (we didn't get to see the donkey). Our host Monique was very friendly and helped us hire an e-bike from nearby Lingreville (Velo Emeraude which operates in several local towns). We had a lovely scenic bike ride north up the coast and back through pretty villages.

There's only one restaurant now open in nearby Gavray though Google shows several still open. It was a 10km drive to the nearest restaurant recommended by Monique but we had use of her guest kitchen to make meals

Lovely rural location 1.5 hours drive from Cherbourg ferry. Monique was very friendly and helpful. We loved sitting on the patio watching the goats, rabbits, ducks and chickens. There was a communal kitchen where was served the best breakfast we'd had in France and guests could use it for making lunch or dinner. Monique phoned Emeraude Velos to hire an e- bike for us at Lingreville and we had a lovely scenic bike ride up the coast

There is now only one restaurants in Gavray and the nearest recommended one is a 10km drive away.

La Parisière is a wonderful peaceful place from which it is easy to make excursions to different parts of Normandy. I stayed for 5 nights and had a big lovely decorated room in the beautiful restored farmhouse.The hostess Monique is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast is fresh with lots of choice, including eggs from the farm and home made yoghurt. The well equipped kitchen also gives you the opportunity to cook meals if you choose to do so. I would definitively stay here again.

For a family with children you have everything here, big garden with lots of animals to see , teras , in quite place , very comfortable and clean rooms. Not far from main attraction Mont Saint Michel. The hostess speaks French, Dutch , English which is perfect for every guest. She is very nice and welcoming. House has very nice vibe, my son enjoyed playing with the toys and reading books that was provided in the guest house. You can easily spend here all day and not feel the need to leave. We where able to cook ourselves dinner ,all facilities are on the spot. Included breakfast is top quality with local produce.

Great for a stopover on our drive back to Cherbourg for the ferry. A great breath of fresh air for our children, who loved the animals in the garden, swings and toys. The family room was very comfortable and a good size for the price. There didn't seem to be a huge amount to do in the area but we were able to get a nice takeaway pizza to eat in the garden at the guesthouse. We had a very friendly welcome and a lovely breakfast.

Excellent breakfast, with delicious homemade yoghurts & jams, eggs laid by the hens on site, local butter, lots of choice & perfect unlimited coffee. Fantastic warm welcome. Gavray very close with all amenities. Large room with wide comfortable bed, great bathroom. Quiet. Wifi & shower worked well. Tea & coffee always available in the kitchen. Opportunity to sit out on the terrace, eat dinner (kitchen available onsite) & watch the shooting stars. Thank you so much Monique & family, we will be back.

The welcome was incredibly friendly - Monique is a cheerful, chatty, warm and welcoming host. The facilities were exceptional - a kitchen at your disposal if you want to cook. The room was extremely clean and comfortable as well as spacious. The surroundings are very rural but this adds to the charm. It is a most relaxing place, with the chickens, goats and other animals out in the field in front. All in all a very pleasant stopover- I was just sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

Hospitability was excellent, we enjoyed the place a lot and Monique was a great host. We were late for the check-in and she was okay and still in a great mood, we are super grateful. The place was amazing, I totally recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful and cozy place to stay, with personal touch. Surrounded by nature. Kids really liked the goats, hens, gooses and bunnies in the garden. Nice room, exactly like on photos. Comfortable kitchen, option to use it, as well of great variety of teas. Very delicious breakfast with a good variety of choices. Thank you!
