It was roomy and airy. The comment made was that “it felt like coming home”. The host and hostess were delightful - and spoke excellent English. We had a large room with a very comfortable bed. The adjacent bathroom was perfectly adequate. No bidet but good-quality toilet paper. Not the cheap stuff that leaves one using five times as much as usual. There was plenty of parking in the large grounds. I’ve read that some people found the road noise intrusive. With the window closed there was no problem and I slept for eight hours straight. Breakfast was very nice. The coffee ran out but there was a lot of home-made stuff that was delicious. We liked the place so much that we tried to stay for a second night, but they were booked solidly. I’m really not surprised, but we will return on another occasion.

A bit of a trick into town to eat in the evening. The entrance is only twenty feet or so from a roundabout exit so one needs to indicate properly.

Was initially drawn to the property because of the design of the rooms and its proximity to Granville (and the Dior Museum) - which was proven right. All the amenities of the room were comfortable - bed, sheets, bathroom, shower pressure (!!), homeyness, aesthetic. But what really made this stay memorable was the hospitality of the owners Martine and Germaine! Even with a short stay, they made an impact on our very first visit in lower Normandy and we absolutely cannot wait to be back, bring the rest of our family with us, and explore the area more next time!

No complaints - 10/10 experience!

The owners are absolutely delightful and the house is stunning. The bedroom was lovely, thoughtfully decorated and the bathroom excellent. Everywhere was extremely clean and the bed very comfy. Breakfast which was fresh and simple was served in a lovely dining room and other guests were very friendly.

Would have loved to have had a kettle in our room and due to the noise from the nearby road, we had to keep the doors shut which made the room very hot - a fan would have been so much appreciated.

Upon arrival it was great to find plenty of space for parking. Martine welcomed us, on a roasting hot day, with a chilled drink. She also provided ideas for local restaurants to research. The room (bord de la monde) was large and comfortable with a lovely view of the sunset. Special mention for the quality bathroom. Continental breakfast was very comprehensive with omelette or boiled egg additionally made to order Would recommend unreservedly.

Property was exactly as described with a lot of charm. The owners put a lot of effort into making the property very comfortable, clean, and to give it a feeling of home. The owners also make breakfast each day for the guest and it’s delicious with some of the ingredients coming from local farms. The homemade Madeline’s were amazing! The location is very close to the golf course and the beach, and has excellent views of the ocean.

Hosts are very friendly, our room was really nice, we liked the sea view despite of bad weather :) Soundproof room, so you don't hear any noise from the street. Breakfast was excellent. They also have a small fridge for guests, a microwave and you can use the dining room all the time. I really felt like at home those 3 days.

As the room is soundproof from outside, it isn't from inside. You can hear neighbours in a hallway. But if you get up for breakfast with everyone else, it isn't a big issue.

Martine and Germain are a young couple who took up the challenge of renovating and running a hotel all by themselves and succeeded in doing so. They are very welcoming and helpful hosts. A big plus is the delicious breakfast with local products.

Great location just outside of Granville and perfect for our way back to the ferry. Our hosts were supper friendly and made us so welcome and gave some wonderful restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was incredible with so much homemade produce. Fabulous place to stay.

Nothing at all it was great.

The breakfast with homemade eggs was exceptional. I'm still thinking about it afterwards... My spouse and me, we never slept so good in our entire lives. I think we slept around 11 hours straight. The view over the sea was amazing. Germain and Martine are livin' the life.

I think I never felt so welcome. I was so overwhelmed and happy that I feel like I didn't enjoyed enough. What I didn't like ? I didn't like myself for nothing staying longer. Next time, I'm coming for a whole week.

We loved everything! The bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing, the decor was so refreshing & excellently considered. The breakfast was superb - fresh eggs from the chickens out back, fresh blackberries from their garden, home made pastries & cakes to die for, homemade yogurt, and delicious homemade preserves too. It was all so lovely! Our kids really enjoyed meeting the owner’s family members and in particular they loved getting to know Mimi, the family’s magic feline friend.
