we had several rooms booked for our group, came for some leisure sailing. the location of the hotel cannot be better. it is literally the most conveniently located hotel. arrival, check in, view from seaside windows all are amazing. all other guests are mainly here for sailing so it is astonishingly nice to sit on the terrace any time of the day. lots of charm, nice affordable breakfast close to full english if needed, not just continental. French people in Granville are unusually pleasant and welcoming to those who dare not to speak French, not a hint of displeasure from inability to reply in French. Very kind! I would always prefer Granville to other places in France for that matter.

the hotel is quite dated. whilst the showers are extremely good, so strong you won't want to leave them, still the rest of the hotel hasn't been updated in years, so expect less. the value for money is very good - you get what you paid for, but arrive with fair expectations of sailors who spent days at sea, not as discerned big city crowd.

An excellent room with a view over the marina. There was a table and chairs on the small balcony too, which would be very pleasant if warm enough to sit outside - not during our stay. Staff were good. Food was very good.

When we handed our keys in we were told all was well. When I reached my next stop I received a message saying I'd not paid at the Ibis and that my credit card would be debited. The right amount was taken from my credit card but I don't like being told I haven't paid when the staff on duty said all was well. It turned out that I used a different payment card at checkin, which was declined when Ibis tried to take payment after I left. My card was subsequently cancelled (fortunately it was digital and easily replaced). The lesson is perhaps to stick around until the payment is completed?

We requested a room with a marina view. We advised we were bringing two dogs and to be honest, we'd expected to have to accept whatever room was available. Our room was first floor, with the most stunning view over the marina and super comfy. No compromise because we had the dogs. We sat in the evening sun and enjoyed a drink. The staff were really super. The breakfast is amazing value for money, continental, fresh and plenty of it.

A superb location, in a lovely room with a view over the Yacht Harbour. The breakfast is exceptional with a very good choice of everything, & the all the staff are very friendly. Parking is good, right outside the hotel, on the harbour. The food in the restaurant is very good, or you can eat on the terrace, weather permitting. It's a place we love to stay in & we are always sorry to leave.

The location was superb, the short walk to the pier for the bastille day fireworks was great. Lovely view over the harbour and the our server in the restaurant was so so wonderful. She was excellent with our two children. Recommended dishes to us, it made our final night in France very enjoyable. She was superb.

The reception on arrival. The front of house made little or no eye contact and we seemed to be nuisance to him checking in. Main toilets near reception were quite dirty throughout the day.

Very clean. Very comfortable beds. Near restaurants. Excellent breakfast.

A) dogs should not be allowed into the breakfast room. A guest had a small dog in her arms whilst leaning over the buffet counter. Not hygienic!!! B) the receptionist who checked us in was surly and as we passed to and from the reception area never lifted her head from her phone. The receptionist who checked us out in the morning was smiling, bubbly and very friendly.

Room was very good with an excellent view of the harbour Close to the town and facilities Parking was easy but may be more difficult during the season.

We only had two substandard towels in our room , I asked for more but didn’t get them either because they didn’t have any spare or couldn’t be bothered . The shower was very very dangerously slippery . I asked for a rubber mat but they didn’t have one

We always try to stay at an Ibis, they are always good value for money and the one in Granville was very nice. Friendly staff, clean quiet room, comfy bed, very nice meal in the restaurant and a very good breakfast. Public parking nearby was safe and very reasonable cost.

Everything was good, we'd stay here again.

Staff very personable and motivated. Location. Comfortable. View, I had a port view. Restaurant. They’ve got self service breakfast right: tea leaf tea provided! However the coffee out of the machine is quite the most BITTER AND DISGUSTING I have ever had. The lady in charge really commanded her room. She was terrific.

Being able to check in at 12:00 was a real plus and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the bar and at breakfast. We liked everything about this hotel, the room was bright, airy and comfortable, the shower was superb and the bar was a really welcoming and relaxing place to enjoy a drink overlooking the port.

Towels were a bit thin and we only got bath towels and no hand towel.
