Fantastic views, wonderful to spend the night ON the mount. Helpful friendly staff, comfortable room
You pay a premium, for the location (not the hotel's fault, just a fact). Be ready to climb stairs - my room with fantastic view was 54 stairs up a narrow spiral staircase - make sure you don't have much luggage! Don't expect air con - just open the windows. Note that reception is at the hotel next door, and upstairs so a bit of a challenge to find

The room is really cool because it is in an old building that has Beauty and the Beast vibes - the room it self is small and a bit dated but the window overlooked all the rooftops and we saw seagles nesting with there babies and you can see the castle. I had read that there was a lot of stairs and there are so luckily we transferred what we needed to a back pack and left the rest in the car - they have a secured parking lot and then you take the shuttle bus. If you can travel light I would recommend that.

The location was perfect. We booked two rooms, one for me and my husband and another for our teenagers, since there was no single room for all of us. We were assigned rooms side by side, which worked out wonderfully. I had an ocean view and my kids had a city view, and both were beautiful. The rooms were small but very comfortable, with cozy beds, and having a private bathroom in each room was a real bonus. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help. We needed to leave very early, around 5:30 in the morning, and they arranged a free shuttle from the hotel to the parking lot for us, which made things so easy. The best part was staying inside Mont Saint-Michel itself. Once the tourists left for the day, we had the town almost to ourselves, which was absolutely priceless and made the experience unforgettable. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend staying inside Mont Saint-Michel, especially during peak season.
One thing to be aware of is that this hotel is not ideal for those who have difficulties with stairs or are not very fit. We were assigned to the 5th floor and there is no elevator, so it was stairs, stairs, and more stairs. It was manageable for us, but guests should be prepared, as you will definitely feel it the next day. Another tip is to avoid bringing carry-on luggage inside the walls. We left ours in the car and only brought a backpack, and it was the smartest decision ever.

The whole island is amazing 👏 but be warned, staying on the island can be challenging in terms of locating your room and climbing many stairs and possibly learning a maze-like set of passages. I loved it, but it is difficult for the elderly and physically challenged. The staff was great but they are very busy so bring a bit of extra patience. Highly recommend for the brave and sturdy adventurers!! Bravo!
Too many tourists... much quieter when the day-trippers have gone...

Didn't have breakfast. Room very quiet ,clean and beds very comfortable with a great view.Shower lovely. Friendly staff.
Toilet smelled, Towels very thin. Sink plunger didn't work. Too many stairs!!!! Strange exit after 6. Steak in restaurant very poor quality, Booked restaurant, got dressesd up and had to go next door to the more casual cafe style one as it was full, disappointed.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Allowed us to store our overnight bags the morning of check out so we could explore without worry. Dinner in hotel restaurant was delicious (steak and muscles) and they gave us a great table when they found we were staying in hotel. Lots of steps to room, but very comfortable and clean! Very convenient location when arriving and leaving the island - easy enough to find. Safe in the room for valuables. Would definitely stay there again!

Really nice, comfortable rooms. Based on the online pictures, we were prepared for our rooms to be a bit dated, and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern they were. Bathrooms look like they’ve been renovated recently. We stayed Hotel la Croix la Blanche for the location - and it did not disappoint!! It felt really special to stay on the island and be able to explore when it was quiet and the majority of tourists were gone. Truly magical and majestic. We traveled with family and had 3 rooms.. all in the same level, with different views. (Ocean, Abbey, Combo)
Climbing the stairs to the rooms was a bit daunting. (Several narrow, spiral staircases.) It was summer and rooms were a bit warm, even with the windows open. One of our rooms had a view of the Abbey, which was great… but loud in the early morning (4-5am) when workers were moving through the cobblestone pathways below to clean, empty trash, restock the shops, etc.

Great location with fast and easy access to all POI. Best time to see Mon Saint Michele and walk around is evening and early morning, when most tourists are gone. But due to limited quantity of restaurants and hotels, prices are high and quality is not impressing. Better to get some food with you or to have dinner and breakfast at the mainland.
Be expected, but price is very high for such level of comfort (rooms are very small, a lot of stairs, narrow passages)

Great location for seeing Mont Saint Michel (staying on island proved very worthwhile to explore the Mont without the crowds at night and early morning). Room had great view out over bay towards the mainland.
Wouldn't recommend upper rooms to anyone who struggles with windy or narrow stairs. Reception and dining options were in the Auberge Saint Pierre two buildings away, getting to which was a rather circuitous (the restaurant and reception areas of the Hotel la Croix building itself were closed during my August stay, with entry rather via a back door on the ramparts only).

Superb location with fine views to the east over Normandy - if you pay extra for a room with a window. Loved watching the full moon over the Bay, then the colours changing next morning as the sun rose. I ate at the neighbouring Auberge St Pierre which remains open until 21:00. Although in an ancient building, my room was modern and warm. A spiral staircase took me up to the top floor - best to take minimal luggage, as recommended. Try to arrive in good time to make the most of the experience and visit the Abbey, if you're OK with lots of steps. You'll park in P3, reserved for hotel guests, and will take a shuttle bus to the Mont. You will need a code from the hotel to enter the parking area - email or call them in advance.
It wasn't cheap but there are few hotels on the Mont so you'll pay for the experience. Breakfast seemed rather expensive at 19 euros so I didn't bother. Things to note - there are few lights on the Mont itself so a smartphone or ordinary torch is essential to walk around after sunset. There are no convenience stores on the Mont so take your own snacks or drinks. A fridge was provided in the room with a bottle of water.
