Being so close to the photographic opportunities we wanted to have. Hotel is in the "hotel zone" almost as close to the end of the line of hotels as you could get. That meant we could walk only a short distance to start walking on the causeway to decide where we wanted to take our photos. Free shuttle stops only a short distance from the hotel to take you out to the actual island...doesn't make any stops once on the causeway. Sarah was a friendly and helpful employee during our stay.

Hotel restaurant was closed, and food options were VERY limited when we arrived at 6 PM on Sunday night, so. Beware and make plans to eat before you arrive. It was unclear to us that the hotel is located beyond a closed gate, in the hotel zone. The keycode operated gate is not well signed, and you end up in a vehicle line wondering if you are in the correct lane. Stay in that left lane. You have to have the code from the hotel in order to punch it into the machine in order for the gate to lift for your car to enter. (for some reason, we didn't receive the email with the code). You will receive a ticket with which you will pay to exit from the "hotel zone" when you leave.

Greeted by kind and friendly staff. The beds slept well and we had a good shower. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The best part about Le Relais du Roy was that we could walk out the back door and see Mont Saint Michele! Easy access by train then bus.

It would have been nice to have two real chairs in the room for the two of us. Electrical outlets for modern technology would have been nice. The rooms were a bit dated.

Excellent location to access the shuttle bus to Mont St. Michel; Room was spacious and I enjoyed the small balcony connected to the room to get a view of Mont St. Michel in the distance; Restaurant had many delicious food items for a wonderful and filling breakfast; Since I was going to arrive late because of a bad storm, I called the hotel in advance to tell them -- they then recommended that I eat dinner ahead of arriving since it would be too late by then to eat in Mont St. Michel -- I was grateful to them for this advice so we were able to eat dinner that evening in a nearby town; Staff was very helpful in telling me where I could safely park my car for the night

The location of the hotel is excellent. The shuttle bus stop is very near to the hotel and there are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the hotel, but for dinner reservation is required. Room size is ok, bed are comfortable with enough space for us to put our stuffs. Breakfast is 14 euro per person and we satisfied with the food selection. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The view at the river is nice but of course the view of Mount Saint Michel is the best!

The water from shower splashed out from the bath tub and making the bathroom floor wet. However it is not considered most serious problem as I have seen more serious condition in other hotel in Paris!

Wonderful location in La Casere or gated hotel zone at Mont St. Michel, with parking on location and the shuttle bus to and from the Mont across the street. We had a nice twin room with a view over the river and a side view of the Mont. Comfortable beds and great shower. Spending the night means seeing both the sunset and sunrise with most of the tourists gone and enjoying the ambiance of this beautiful place. I highly recommend, so much better than a day trip. Staff was extremely kind.

Of course no AC, can be difficult in the extreme heat that is more common these days. Buy a cheap fan at a hardware store- so necessary when staying in rural France in the summer!

What an amazing place to be! The stuff was more than great, really helpful and so kind.The hotel is very clean at each part of it and my room was big, comfortable with perfect mattress at bed and the most amazing view of Mont Saint Michel from the balcony! Bathroom was big also!This hotel is situated in the best area if you want to visit M.S.M. , free shuttle buses will take you to the island in a few minutes but is also walkable distance.I will totally recommend it and will definitely return! We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Its location is ideal—just a short and easy distance from both Mont Saint-Michel and the charming nearby town. The room was spacious and comfortable, perfectly suited for the three of us. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We especially appreciated the clear arrival and parking instructions, which were sent well in advance and made everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Great location. One of closest to Mont St Michel. We had oblique view of the Mont from our room. Excellent continental breakfast. Staff very helpful on transport to their hotel from Rennes. We got train to Pontorson, then connecting bus to the hotel, (dropped almost outside the hotel). Restaurant was closed for dinners, but there were two excellent restaurants within 3 minutes walk. Around 2.5km walk to the Mont, which we enjoyed. But there were also very frequent shuttle busses every 10- 15 minutes if you got tired, or bad weather.

No real complaints at all.

Fantastic, friendly and informative staff. English was no problem. Clean room, our fog was welcomed/ Natalie even remembered his name. Right next to the tidal inlet and barrage. Can’t get closer to mont st Michel without a boat!

There used to be a fabulous place to eat dinner here. It is where you eat breakfast, which is a lovely room. Due to the worldwide shortage of workers, they no longer do dinner. Also our twin bed was a bit cozier than normal, LOL- the twin bed was a bit small.
