Really nice, comfortable rooms. Based on the online pictures, we were prepared for our rooms to be a bit dated, and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern they were. Bathrooms look like they’ve been renovated recently. We stayed Hotel la Croix la Blanche for the location - and it did not disappoint!! It felt really special to stay on the island and be able to explore when it was quiet and the majority of tourists were gone. Truly magical and majestic. We traveled with family and had 3 rooms.. all in the same level, with different views. (Ocean, Abbey, Combo)
Climbing the stairs to the rooms was a bit daunting. (Several narrow, spiral staircases.) It was summer and rooms were a bit warm, even with the windows open. One of our rooms had a view of the Abbey, which was great… but loud in the early morning (4-5am) when workers were moving through the cobblestone pathways below to clean, empty trash, restock the shops, etc.

Superb location with fine views to the east over Normandy - if you pay extra for a room with a window. Loved watching the full moon over the Bay, then the colours changing next morning as the sun rose. I ate at the neighbouring Auberge St Pierre which remains open until 21:00. Although in an ancient building, my room was modern and warm. A spiral staircase took me up to the top floor - best to take minimal luggage, as recommended. Try to arrive in good time to make the most of the experience and visit the Abbey, if you're OK with lots of steps. You'll park in P3, reserved for hotel guests, and will take a shuttle bus to the Mont. You will need a code from the hotel to enter the parking area - email or call them in advance.
It wasn't cheap but there are few hotels on the Mont so you'll pay for the experience. Breakfast seemed rather expensive at 19 euros so I didn't bother. Things to note - there are few lights on the Mont itself so a smartphone or ordinary torch is essential to walk around after sunset. There are no convenience stores on the Mont so take your own snacks or drinks. A fridge was provided in the room with a bottle of water.

Great location for seeing Mont Saint Michel (staying on island proved very worthwhile to explore the Mont without the crowds at night and early morning). Room had great view out over bay towards the mainland.
Wouldn't recommend upper rooms to anyone who struggles with windy or narrow stairs. Reception and dining options were in the Auberge Saint Pierre two buildings away, getting to which was a rather circuitous (the restaurant and reception areas of the Hotel la Croix building itself were closed during my August stay, with entry rather via a back door on the ramparts only).

Location was great with stunning views from our room and staff were very friendly and helpful
Room needed a bit more ventilation as smelled a little damp Staff at the restaurant in the hotel were dreadful, we had dinner and the staff made us feel they didn’t want us there, they stood around the bar area and left us waiting, other people felt the same way, we had to ask for everything knife, fork, salt & pepper once our food had just been put in front of us, the waitress if she smiled would have been an effort even the young male waiter wasn’t enthused to help clients they all as I mentioned wanted to chat to each other around the bar area, would not recommend people to go there as I am sure the chef is good as the food once it arrived was very tasty and the behaviour of the waiting staff reflects badly on all the effort the chef puts into his work as people will not go back

This small hotel is located within Mont Saint-Michel. Although the room was small and a bit old, it was well-designed, clean, and tidy, especially the bathroom. The nearby restaurant with pink chairs had great food and a pleasant ambiance. If you're staying overnight on the island, I recommend dining there.
However, the window overlooked a seagull nest, and the seagulls were noisy from morning till night. Additionally, because of the many seagulls, there were quite a few flies that got into the room. We believe this is a common issue on the entire island.

The room is clean, tidy and comfortable in a fantastic location
The communications via booking.com were poor we did not receive the pin number for the car park so could not park and we could not get through to the hotel by phone until the third attempt. When we did get through we got the parking code for the car park however be warned the signal around Mont Saint Michael, is very poor and contacting anybody by phone or text can be difficult

It was very close to town and also convenient to our tours, good breakfast and friendly staff.
Parking was an issue. We parked behind the hotel for a couple hours in order to take a walking tour. We parked far away overnight and then moved in the morning. We received a 20.00 ticket. It was our fault really but they need some nearby parking for their guests.

Right on the ramparts. Great location. All hotels are a bit of a trek to get to but this one is manageable. Great staff and communication. You can feel the history of the place. It wasn't too busy being there in off season, but it was still so cool to walk the streets and ramparts after all the non-islanders left. I HIGHLY recommend staying on island rather than off, unless you have small kids...this could be a challenge.
There is nothing that can be done about this because of the history of it, but I'm soooo happy I left my suitcase in my car and only brought my carryon day pack because there were A LOT of winding stairs to go up to get to our room. This would be the same in any hotel on the island...just a tip for those who may want to stay.

The triple room we had for our kids was awesome! It had a little sitting area with a couch/bed plus an upstairs attic area that had beds for 3 people. It was a really cool room. Our room was pretty tiny, but it's what we expected for Mont Saint Michel. Our bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We had a lovely view as well. It was warm that day, so we slept with windows open. It was comfortable except for the very loud sea birds that started squawking around 5:30am when the sun started coming up. That's not the hotel's fault, though, it's just the location. Overall, we had a great experience staying the night on Mont Saint Michel and getting to explore the island without all the crowds during the day.
I really don't have anything to change, the rooms are small, but the building is something like 500 years old, so it's exactly what I expected given the location. There's no AC, but I also expected that.

Our room was reached through a series of staircases-- both inside and outside-- and sometimes going upstairs and sometimes going downstairs. Despite the winding way to get to and from our room, the room itself is charming-- we stayed on the top floor in a duplex room with a sleeping loft and windows that opened out to the view of the sandy bay around Mont St. Michel and it was set up perfectly for three people. The place is quiet and beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean and easy to use. As an FYI-- while we were there, we had to check in through Auberge St. Pierre hotel and get brought across to the Hotel La Croix Blanche.
The breakfast buffet offered by the hotel (charged separately) is not worth it. The quality of the food was mediocre and guests were expected to cook their own eggs in a water bath and often with poor results. Unfortunately, not many places are open early for breakfast, but if you can-- try to eat elsewhere for breakfast.
