Location! It's on the island and at a reasonable price. In the evening and the early morning when the crowds left, it almost felt like we had the island to ourselves.
Dinner, don't pre pay for dinner. The restaurant feels like amateurs run it. Some food was not great. Some were undercooked, some just not tasty. Breakfast, however, was good. The early morning is busy and loud as trash, and deliveries on a narrow cobble stone street are a noise maker.

This hotel is fine considering where it is located. The rooms are small but the size is fine for one night stay. The location is perfect for a visit especially if you arrive in the late afternoon when the crowds are getting much thinner. In this case, you'll have this place to yourself in the evening and can visit the abbey first thing in the morning and leave before all the tourists start to arrive. We had a room in the main building with no view and an air conditioner. Again, this was ok for one night stay in September. We also purchased a dinner which was't special but was ok.
Addition of an air conditioner would be nice.

This property is right on Mont Saint Michel. They provided great communications through the Booking.com app. Parking was easy. At check in, the receptionist spoke English and was very generous in helping me with my French, which I am learning. The room was a short walk up the hill from the reception. Our room was on the 2nd floor which you reach by a winding stairwell. As expected in a medieval building, the room was small by American standards but it was clean and perfectly adequate. The bathroom was surprisingly large with a nice shower. It was also very clean. Our beds were comfortable. We did not use the wifi. Breakfast was included in our rate, which was very reasonable through booking.com. The staff in the breakfast restaurant spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is directly below the reception which is down the Mont on the main street from the actual hotel. Trust me, it's all very easy and they do this so much that you won't have any issues at all. We ate dinner in the restaurant which is in the ground floor of the same building as our room (Le Mouton Blanc). We did not have a reservation but it was off season and had no problem getting a table for two. The food was surprisingly good for a restaurant in a world heritage tourist site. The actual abbey closes at 6 pm so we did the tour in the evening when the crowds had diminished. In the morning, we just washed up, paid for our room and checked out. It was all so very easy. I definitely recommend staying here if you want the full "Mont Saint Michel" experience.
They need a bigger garbage can in the bathroom or maybe a second one in the room. If you have a disability, issues with your knees or feet, you may not want to stay here. In fact, you would have great difficulty touring Mont Saint Michel. Just remember, they started building the Abbey in the 8th century so set your expectations a bit differently and enjoy it.

Very glad we spent the night inside the village of Mont St Michel. It is a magical place once the day visitors leave. It has a very Harry Potter feel. The lighting on the empty streets, the sound of the ocean from the ramparts, the winding cobblestone streets make the premium you pay for a small, ancient room worth it. Our room, though very tiny, had been updated to the best that could be expected. You pay for the location, not the accommodation. It was very easy to find the reception to check in, and they hold your luggage so you can investigate the island and the abbey until your room is ready. We’re glad we paid the premium to stay on island.
We did have a bit of difficulty locating our room. The rooms are scattered through the alleyways, and though the clerk gave us good instructions on the map and told us to go through the brown door, when we located the brown door in the area he indicated, our room number was not included on the rooms within.

The location is the reason that you would stay here. when all of the tourist have hopped back onto there coaches, you have the entire mount to your self and it is magical. the room is very clean and well equiped. although please bear in mind that this is an old building with thin walls and windows. you will need ear plugs for a good night sleep from the noise of the street and the hallway. the food was amazing, we went for the breakfast and dinner package and it did not dissapoint. breakfast was continental with some cooked bacon and eggs. dinner was a choice from the resturants menu and we did not have a single bad meal and all staff were friendly.
like i said the rooms were a little small but comfortable and the noise levels could be a bit high, nothing that some ear plugs cannot cure.

Our room was small, but it was very comfortable. The beds and pillows were perfect! We had a small, but brand-new bathroom, which had great hot water pressure. Our room was very clean - housekeeping was very efficient. Breakfast was delicious! Pastries, yoghurt, cereal, fruit, cake, scrambled egg and a variety of breads for toast. As Mont Saint Michel has many stairs and is steep, we were lucky to be able to leave our heavy luggage in reception for the duration of the stay and just cart some hand luggage up to our room......this was a lifesaver! I would recommend anyone stay here!
we loved everything!

Location - fantastic location. Right smack in the village centre next door to dining, shops and abbey Views - had a small view of the alley which is exquisite for the location Amenities - luckily there is 1 restaurant that was open late and where we were to grab dinner for the overnight stay
Repairs - lots of repairs in the building. Though it seems they are renovating the rooms and establishment, so we can disregard this. But there was some drilling noise early in the morning, it happens to be crew was working on the entrance steps.

The Hotel is centrally located on Grande Rue which is the main narrow street leading to the famous abbey. Staff at the reception desk, especially Frederick, are very courteous, good listeners and helpful. Clean and comfortable bed and (although small) en-suite facilities complimented by a very good breakfast. From our bedroom window we can observe the abbey perched high up on the hill. If you truly like to experience Mont Saint Michel and is on your bucket list, forget a day trip and sleep at least a night inside its medieval walls. After the day trippers gone, the atmosphere is surreal and is really magical. Wondering around in the small hours of the day all by ourselves and no one else is like travelling back to hundreds of years right in medieval times. Truly an experience of a lifetime. Its a must and I highly recommend it !

Like all the buildings on the island the hotel is a very old building, very tightly fitted into the surrounding buildings, which added to its charm. There is a steep path and a medieval staircase leading up to the hotel, which may be inconvenient for some visitors. An overnight stay on the island, however, allows you to enjoy the peace and magic of the place, which is not possible during the day when the tourist traffic is really heavy. Despite the high humidity on the island, and the obvious consequences of living in medieval building, the rooms were dry, warm, clean and adequately equipped. Breakfast was very tasty, with a good selection of produce.
Preparations for the day's work on the island start very early. As early as around 6 a.m. the sounds of transporting goods to and from shops and restaurants can be heard. If one is a light sleeper, this can be disturbing.

Stayed here for one night in February. Definitely stay on the island overnight. I had the whole place to myself once the sun went down. Location / Check-In: Le Mouton Blanc front desk area was under renovation during my stay so I was sent instructions to check in at another hotel's front desk, which was no issue. There was a brief mix-up with my check-in but the gentleman at the front desk was quick to correct it and send me off to Le Mouton Blanc rooms. Le Mont St Michel is super tiny so there's not much to say about the location other than it's fantastic and (at least in February) super quiet at night. The morning was filled with the sounds of seagulls, which I loved. Visitors to the island tend to arrive around 9:00-10:00 and trickle out en masse by 5PM, leaving a lot of morning and evening/night time just to people who are staying on the island. I was pretty much the only one walking around for a few hours during those times and was able to grab photos and videos without large crowds of people around. Room: Room was great. I had a great window view of some buildings with the beach in the backdrop. Never heard any of the neighbors or anyone else moving up and down the stairs or hallway. The room was very clean - no bugs, no hair, or anything like that. Great hotel bathroom, comfy beds. Breakfast: The included breakfast is buffet style at Restaurant Creperie Bar, only open to folks with a hotel room. It had all the basics; pastries, coffee, fruits, meats, scrambled eggs (French style), cheese, loaves of bread, yogurt, orange juice. A standard French breakfast. There aren't many places on the island to grab breakfast so options are limited.
Nothing, was all great.
