This is a spa hotel and obviously has a loyal clientele who probably return annually. Because the area is renowned for its waters the town is full of spa hotels.Brit Hotel du Lac sits in an area of spa hotels, It is a very tranquil setting and also attracts guests who are simply stopping over en route to other destinations. The staff are very welcoming and seem to speak various languages including English. The room was pleasnt, comfortable and the shower was excellent. It worked well as an overnight en route to the French/Spanish border.

A restaurant open for more than 2 hours would have been welcome. As it was we went into the town to eat and in fact St. Paul was very lively on a warm summer evening with lots of restaurants.

I liked that the breakfast room had a terrace so you can sit outside. The location was perfect - close to the spa Sourceo and to the beautiful lake. Walking round the lake was a huge pleasure - lots of ducks, very tame, with their ducklings. My room had a balcony and there was a rotating fan. It was very hot during my stay and the hotel doesn't have air conditioning except in the restaurant - but they did make the restaurant available as a lounge. The bar manager was helpful in storing my large coolbox in the kitchen fridge. Plenty of parking and some with nice shade.

Decaffinated coffee and more healthy breakfast choices would be nice. And tea/coffee in the room would be good.

We appreciated the view of the lake and a particularly nice room 341. Had dinner here one night, which was excellent.. breakfast was also generous.

There are some quirky rules such as not putting drinks or meals on the room. It’s about value for money if you want air conditioning or full range of toiletries choose a more expensive hotel.

What a wonderful find, at an excellent price! The room was spacious and very clean. Although there was no air conditioning there was a fan in the room. The hotel is across the street from a nice lake and next door to a thermal spa (which I think is the main reason people go to the hotel.) The staff was very professional, and someone was always at the front desk. The hotel also has a bar, restaurant (nice dinner offered) and a large gift shop. I’d definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Air conditioning is always nice to have but fortunately it wasn’t warm so it was fine.

Its not the latest style of Hotel, but its kept well up and there are many facilities around. Parking was easy and close to the Hotel. For our transit stay it was a great stop over. The area is quite and the hotel is close to a lake. A thermal pools & SPA is right opposite the hotel and making it almost part of the hotel.

Our room was facing the lake with a beautiful, but also having a road passing in front of the hotel which added noise to the room. This disturbs in the morning if you intend to sleep longer.

The hotel has a very good restaurant which is very good value for money. The hotel also has a spa. The room looked a bit outdated, but it was very spacious. The hotel is located in a quiet location at a lake. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I only stayed for one night, but I would always return.

Although the room had bottled water, it would be nice, if the room would provide a kettle with tea and coffee as well.

Very beautifull surroundings. Nice walking around the little lake. I'm sure in the summertime it's very nice place to stay even longer period. Hotel staff speaking english and they were very frendly. Nice lake wiew restaurant.

In restaurant menys only in france and waitres speaking just frens, not so much to chooce but food was good.

Great service from the moment I get in. The receptionist (forgot the name-sorry) was amazingly helpful and polite and quickly sorted my reservation. 10 out of 10 . Restaurant staff, the „older” lady who get my dinner sort out as I get to restaurant just before closing - she is a true star . Get my food and drinks within seconds. If I’ll ever go that way I definitely will be back.

Beautiful with so many conveniences. Saved us when our car broke and we felt safe and looked after. Lovely will be back under better circumstances!

At breakfast an older bald staff member was very rude to an elderly woman guest and I think you should respect your elders. She did nothing wrong was just confused.
