This was a last-minute stop for us, as we were on our way somewhere else, and we were delighted to find it! We needed to book 2 rooms to accommodate the family but they were next to each other and still worked out quite economically. It's in an excellent central location, easy to walk anywhere in the centre and loads of dinner options nearby. And a really stunning, quirky building. We also thoroughly enjoyed the spa in the morning before setting off again.

The room was much larger than I had expected, with high ceilings and big windows. The bathroom was a good size and the shower pressure was really good. There was plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. The location is central and a good base to wander round the town. The food in the restaurant was extremely good and the wine list was extensive. The terrace bar was great and shaded from the evening sun, which was a bonus on my visit. The public areas and the room were extremely clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. I had an early start and they were happy to arrange for a taxi to get me to the station on time and were explicit on where I needed to be when the taxi arrived. Overall, it was a great stay and I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Lovely art deco hotel. Food was good. Location very central and parking located underneath but not free. Room was nice overlooking the canal but very noisy roadworks from quite early.

Service at dinner was very slow- seated at 1940 and order not taken until 2030. Food was good. Breakfast- once items had gone they were not replenished. Asked for more bacon and sausage at 0915- still none at 0940. I did comment on this to the reception and he refunded the cost of one breakfast. The room tea and coffee had no milk for tea and paper cups- minor in themselves but not indicative of a 4 star hotel.

The staff were great, the room great and spa was absolutely incredible 3 areas for improvement: A) restaurant open late ie 7 pm So was forced to eat outside. B) no parking , which for a 4 star hotel is not great. C) no luggage service. Wound have been great to park my car 200 m away on closest car park and over a 2-3 hr period porters do my luggage to my room.

Breakfast was way to overpriced for the spread. Additionally it would have been great to also have some english translations. Website does not give you any spa options or services only reception times. For a 4 star hotel, i would also expect room service or a menu at the least.

Room was very smart. They provided large towel robes and slippers in the room. Liked having a large bathroom with separate toilet. Also room featured a safe and a fridge. Room was immaculately clean. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious with a varied menu. Our waiter Omar couldn't have done more. Spa was Devine. We would definitely visit Dax again but maybe for longer.

The hotel is a good 4 Star and meets the usual standards for such places. The whole atmosphere is good. The facilities are as described.

There is no hotel carparking. The recommended public car park is a bit away and trapped me in it in the morning.

The room was exceptional. The bathroom was stunning and so clean

The parking instructions weren't clear. We traveled around the hotel 3 times before finding the parking (using Sat Nav). A map on the hotel page would be useful, or a link.

Breakfast finishes at 10 am and a few silly rules about spa , it’s best to use spa facilities day you arrive as you cannot (for some reason ) use spa facilities to change if a resident you have to use your room , so if your treatment runs over check out time you might be stuck ! In fairness we were given a later check out time .

The hotel is perfectly located. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Spa center with swimming pool, hammam, floating, sauna and delicious tea is simply magnificent, but available only for an additional fee. It was free for the residents of the hotel before the covid, so be careful when booking a room. It was very good that there were few people in the spa. Massages, spa rituals and visit to spa center must be booked in advance.
