The hotel is situated at the very center of the city, the staff is friendly, the room was clean, had comfortable bed, a balcony, hefty towels, and the fast Internet connection

No air conditioning and mosquitoes awake us

The room was supplied with everything one needs.

I couldn't open the windows, because there's no guardrail to stop you from falling. There's no balcony, so just a sheer drop to the street almost. The bathroom was painted a very strange shade of pink. Also I could hear a lot of water every time someone flushed the toilet.

The location and free parking around the corner if you arrive in the evening and depart before 8am. The member of staff was very friendly. If you’re staying in Dax just for a night or so, then the hotel is within great walking distance to bars, restaurants, etc. Good value for money for the height of summer.

The room and bathroom were a bit basic. The location is very centric so the noise of the bars and restaurants in the town square could be heard until they closed (and the patrons went home) not ideal if you want to get some rest whilst on the road. There was just a small fan in the room, and as we closed the small balcony door to avoid the noise, there was no respite from the heat. We were charged twice the tourist tax, once whilst booking and once when we collected the keys.

Breakfast was limited, the position was too close to the cathedral and nosey young people drinking outside my window at night, altogether too noisy. Worst of all my friend paid the costs for 2 weeks and additional breakfasts, but as I was ill there and did not like noise My friend lost all her money as I sated 2 nights and 2 breakfasts. My friend spent her money from an accident she had so I could wait there for my passport but I left and she lost ALL HER MONEY not her fault or mine. I am now in hospital in France she is in UK.

The size rooms, the closeness to people near the hotel outside making terrible noise. No one would cash my friend who paid for me Paula Vaughan some cash to add to her card so I could eat during the day or buy some cigarettes. I was very unhappy with staff, no manager on duty at weekends
