The hotel is perfectly located across from the beach and in the old town, thus making it easy to walk everywhere in this charming historic city. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The lounges, inside and out, are comfortable and welcoming. The room we booked was at the cheaper end of the spectrum and was good value for money: the bed was comfortable and the shower and bathroom set up worked well. There was no air conditioning in our room, which could prove to be a problem in hot weather. Although we stayed during August, it was not hot, so the temperature with the windows opened was fine. The downside, however, is that we were woken at dawn by the squawking seagulls. We didn't book breakfast in the hotel and enjoyed delicious coffee in nearby outside cafes. The boulangerie behind the hotel is superb and we took our own croissants (try the almond and chocolate one - heaven!) with us. Would definitely stay again but would think twice before booking during the hotter times of year. Dieppe itself is a lovely place with a laid back atmosphere and superb seafood restaurants, many of them very reasonably priced.

The family room (1x kingsize/twin and two single large sofa beds) were spacious and clean. The bed linen and towels were all very white and fresh. The bed mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, patient with my basic French, although they spoke English. Check-in and check-out were very straightforward. Parking is free on the street and very busy but several spaces appeared over the day so we found a space directly outside. I would very much recommend this hotel for a budget-friendly stay in the heart of Dieppe. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

It isn't a dislike, more that the room decor is dated and one of our rooms had a bath but no taps to fill it. They'd added a shower but had decided to leave the bath in situ, perhaps for cost-saving. It added a little 90's charm to an otherwise clean and comfortable room. Some of the plug sockets didn’t work, but there was still one available.

Everything went well. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years - it's always been a good choice. It has been refurbished in recent years and is now really good. The social spaces downstairs are useful and pleasantly furnished and we were able to get together in these areas for a drink. The rooms were very comfortable although small - good lighting, instant hot water. Breakfast much better than in the past, and now very good. And staff all very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast coffee is disappointing, as it always is in those machines hotels use. Everything else very positive.

Our family room was very comfortable. Spacious and clean. It had a mini fridge and a spacious bathroom with corner bath. The location is fab - right next to the green that borders the sea front, and a couple of minutes walk to town. Breakfast was nice and staff were friendly. Nice touches like the tiny 'candy bar' and ice creams for sale!

No kettle (maybe this is a British thing?) Only a handheld shower on the bath - but fine for a short stay.

For the location and cost it's a good choice. Comfortable room although not generously sized, perfectly adequate. Bathroom fine although limited space so actually hanging over the sink while on the loo! Idiosyncratic rather than annoying. Plenty of breakfast of good standard. Allowed me to park my motorcycle at the front as the garage round the back was unavailable.

No air-con and the seagulls can be a bit noisy with the windows open but nothing major. O and the lift was broken so bit of a chore lugging stuff up the stairs but again, nothing major.

The staff were exceptional: friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . The breakfast was delicious with a selection of fruit, cereals, pastries, boiled eggs, bread, hand and cheeses. The decor was fresh and tranquil - the reception and communally areas were very much somewhere you wanted to relax and read a book or enjoy a glass of wine. The location was excellent too with the beach being just across from a strip of grass (approx 5 min walk) and the main town / harbour also 5 mins walk away.

The only thing I would say to improve our experience would be to offer tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. My husband and myself weren’t bothered but my 80 something year old parents like to be able to make a cuppa when they want one. Having said this when we asked if it were possible to have tea making facilities in their room they kindly sorted it for us.

Location, quiet room on third floor with city views. Good bath/ shower, easy to adjust and hot. Nice option to swap a daily room clean for a drink in the hotel bar. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. Bed very comfortable despite actually being two singles out together.

Bathroom showed signs of long use. A few cracked wall tiles and the tiled floor seemed permanently wet despite my drying it each morning. The sink plug was jammed, so the sink took an age to empty.

Amazing to wake up with view on the sea! Room well decorated to give a "beach" atmosphere and the balcony was a real plus. Very well located, just in front of the beach and 10min max from walk to city center. We've find a place to park just in front which was extremely convenient. Staff very nice!!

Quite noisy hotel with the other rooms. Some spider webs. shower not adapted for long time (water flooding after a while).

Not our first visit and won't be the last. It's a very nice little hotel, welcoming and unpretentious and has improved in recent years. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast choice - nice touches, like the jams in their original jars. We like the way there are several different seating areas in the communal space. Rooms have everything you need and good showers. Nice idea to offer a free drink if you opt not to have your room cleaned.

Nothing to dislike. I recommend it thoroughly.

Excellent location, close to the centre with its good choice of shops, excellent Saturday market and many many great restaurants and bars. Our stay coincided with France's Music night, Midsummer's nights eve, and parking is difficult but the kind receptionist allowed us to park on the hotel forecourt so as not to miss our dinner reservation at a restaurant.
