Location, location, location..... doesn't get any better. Great location for enjoying all the best of Fontainebleau. The chateau, literally across the street, restaurants and shopping surround the hotel. Can't beat this location. Hotel breakfast buffet is excellent with many choices. Indoor, underground parking is available beneath the hotel and is available at a fee. Bed was comfy and the room exceptionally clean. And, the staff was wonderful. Helpful and knowledgeable....... always looking to make your stay enjoyable.

The hotel's restaurant could use a better menu with more choices and did not seem to be a priority effort for this level of hotel. A little buck-up in this area would go a long way.

When we arrived and saw the room I'd booked, I was somewhat disappointed but more concerned that we could not stay in a room for four nights with such overpowering red wallpaper everywhere. Reception immediately upgraded us to a much nicer room, and, as it transpired, at no extra cost. In fact, throughout our stay, reception staff excelled themselves in all departments. The hotel is so central and car parking, though extra, is well subsided and so very convenient. It's underground and across the road but when you surface you are only a few metres from the hotel entrance. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice for all tastes. The dining room was closed for two nights of our stay but when open, it served an excellent entrecote with a superb choice of wines. Bar snacks were available on the other nights with the bar staff very helpful. Local restaurants appear to be mostly Italian though I was assured this is not exclusively so. The hotel location could not be bettered for visiting the Chateau and other local attractions. Don't miss the walk around the Chateau grounds which was accessible directly opposite the hotel. The 'buggy ride' was very entertaining too. We didn't explore the other hotel facilities on offer so I can't make any comments there. To summarise: Excellent hotel with exceptional staff in a wonderful location. We very much enjoyed our stay and will return to further explore the region. in the future

The red wallpaper as mentioned before .. .. .. but this is fitting in with the 'period character' room styles and may well suit other peoples tastes. .. .. .. ..It was just not for me.

A perfect location for visiting Chateau Fontainebleau and surrounds! Christmas was wonderful, Christmas Day lunch was wonderful. The staff were helpful. Our room was peaceful and clean. Coffee machine was great.

We would have liked a dressing gown and slippers as we didn't pack any as we had travelled from Australia, but that didn't matter in the end the room was warm and cozy.

Gave us a nice upgrade for whatever reason and the room was large and comfortable although a bit dark. More lights would have been nice. Breakfast one of the best hotel breakfasts we had on this 20 day trip. The hotel is outside the old town perimeter and easy walking to all the restaurants and shops. Bar in the hotel is open until 11pm and is a very nicely appointed space.

Lighting in the room could be brighter. Restaurant is only open on weekends.

Very elegantly decorated rooms. Every chic facility available. Quite beautiful all round. Splendid location right infront of the chateau and gardens. Interior design around Napoleonic themes in gold and black with lovely wall murals.

The parking was difficult to find and should have been better described by the hotel. It was nevertheless secure and very close by.

Excellent location in Fontainebleau, with easy parking in the underground public parking just underneath the hotel. Very central, with many restaurants around (and a cinema we enjoyed on our night there). We did not have breakfast but there was a kettle in the room and a coffee machine. Comfortable beds.

Stylish, but cosy hotel in the heart of city centre. Very spacious room compared to any other French hotel. Everything you need is right there. Numerous restaurants and cafes just next door. Public parking for anyone who is travelling by car just in front of the hotel. Got even upgraded to a bigger room.

A bit noisy aircon.

We stayed one night so that we could be up and early for the Chateau and location was right on its doorstep. There were also plenty of restaurants around for lunch or dinner. Room decor was very chic which made for a unique experience

Breakfast for 28 EUR was a bit extreme. We decided to go and find a local cafe and bakery instead

A beautiful central hotel. Very easy to find. Parking facilities right across the road for 10 euros/ 24 hours. The chateau and park is directly in front of the hotel. The two ladies on reception were so kind, friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to help us. We had a beautiful stay. Fountainebleau was just wonderful.

Lovely building. Parking opposite at Napoleon carpark. Hotel will validate parking ticket for half price. Bed was comfortable. Shower good. Bar area nice. Nice to be upgraded to deluxe
