Lovely authentic property wonderfully welcoming host.

Town/village lacks any facilities for meals especially on a Monday evening as everything is closed other than hotel in village which was "full" although had empty tables and weren't accommodating as we were staying somewhere else. Definitely not a fault of the host be prepared bring food or book ahead. Definitely an opportunity for the host to showcase her wines which we we bought in the village bar with a bit of simple tapas to keep guests on site.

Mme Gigou was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived rather too late after a delayed journey to get to eat anywhere but Mme Gigou made some very helpful suggestions and tried to use her local influence to get us in somewhere. In the event we got a pizza (very good) and brought it back whereupon Mme Gigou brought us a bottle of her excellent wine to have with it. Don't miss visiting their cave to sample and most likely buy some.

There was nothing we disliked. Just a word of advice though if you want to eat in town, and there are several nice places to do so, do book ahead if your likely to be delayed on the road (e.g, an August Saturday).

Very hospitable host and hostess at hotel. In spite of my very poor French and their marginally better English, we managed to communicate and the hotel staff went out of their way to assist us, including contacting and driving us to the local garage when we had a tyre puncture.

Room facilities and breakfast were good, though shower could have been better.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. I really appreciate the extra mile that our host goes to welcome us. The breakfast is always delicious and plentiful - baguette, croissants, butter, jam, fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, cake and a variety of hot drinks. This accommodation is excellent value for money.

The accommodation has no "airs and graces" but has everything that one needs. I have said in previous reviews that, for my taste, a firmer bed would suit - and also a wider bed if it could be fitted into the room!

Our hostess gave us a very warm and friendly welcome and excellent breakfasts! She was very helpful and took the time to converse with us. The accommodation is simple but there is everything you need. The location is very convenient with a pleasant 10 -15 minute walk to shops and restaurants and a lovely lakeside walk. The whole experience felt authentic and was great value for money.

This is the second time that I have stayed here. I appreciate the welcome from the owner. The location is perfect for us en route from mid France to Caen for a ferry crossing back to the UK. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

I would have liked a firmer mattress and/or a wider bed. This is my only criticism (which I made on my previous review). This has not stopped me booking another stay in July but it would be lovely to think that the mattress/bed may be changed by then, please!

We used this B&B as a pit stop whilst travelling through France towards the F1 GP at Barcelona. The welcome was very warm, the room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and our Landlady was very accommodating. Bed very comfortable, shower water hot, what more can one ask?

Nothing.

The host was so friendly, even though we didn’t speak French and she didn’t speak much English she made the effort and we could understand each other! This is a perfect spot if you are travelling and need to stop off somewhere for a night. A great spot a bit off the motorway in the beautiful countryside. a very simple but comfortable place to stay.

Not much phone signal but obviously nothing the host can do about that!

We were delighted with the helpful welcome from our host, who came to meet us in the centre of the town. Our room had everything we needed.... double bed, bedside table and lamp, table, 2 chairs and a small television. There was an ensuite toilet, basin and shower. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and typically French, with a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

We found the bed a bit soft and springy for our liking but could find nothing else to fault this property. What a delightful find. We shall return.

The breakfast was just fine. The location was within easy walking distance of the little town centre with its collection of hotels , shops and restaurants. And our charming host was very helpful in locating our mislaid mobile phone for us!👌
