This is a gem of an old country hotel in a beautiful unspoilt Basque village. The young staff clearly take their dining seriously. It was the best meal I had in the Pyrenees. I had a 4 course suprise menu and they do a 6 course with wine pairing as well. There is the regular menu too. The restaurant is elevated from the buildiind andhas surround glass windows looking out to the valley and mountains. There is good walking too. Don't miss it. Secure barn parking for the Moto.

We advised the Hotel that were on Motorcycles and were met by one of the members of staff who said we could use there barn to store the bikes overnight, they also upgraded us to bigger rooms and the "surprise" tasting menu was the best food we had during our week long trip. Simply fantastic family run hotel with the best staff who worked very hard to look after us during our stay! Two of our group were so impressed that they went back for another night at the end of the trip.

My stay was incredible! I biked there from St Jean Pied de Port, over the Col d’ Irati, and was famished by the time I arrived… Had the most wonderful dinner at the hotel - it more than made up for all the hard miles up the mountain and prepped me to get over the Puerto de Larrau the next day. Thank you to all staff for helping me find easy storage for my bike and offering extra bread ;) for the long climb the next day

A very nice hotel in an idyllic location you can sit on the terrace and look at the views all evening. It was comfortable, clean and welcoming one of my favourite hotels over the two weeks.

The a la carte menu was not on when we visited so the evening mean was limited, that said it was still very good for us.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely local cat that hung out at the hotel. The restaurant view was spectacular and the food was absolutely superb. Room had a drying rack which was very useful for drying my clothes after my hike. The staff were very welcoming and helpful even with the language barrier.

This is a hard one... the water in the shower took a while to get warm I guess... not really a big deal at all and expected in a village really.

I stopped off during my GR10 hike. The staff were very welcoming despite my post-hike state and the room was just what I needed to recharge myself. But the reality highlight is the restaurant. I had lunch and dinner and they were both exceptional - real gourmet cooking.

The food was fantastic but a little disappointing that we had a set menu as the restaurant wasn't technically open until Wednesday. It's only a small negative though, the food was still very good.

Amazing location in a clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are welcoming and informative. It was like staying with friends. The room was clean and a good sleep was had. The restaurant was not open but a set meal was offered. And what a set meal. Local produce to exceptional standard with a great wine selection. Ample choice for breakfast. Wish we had booked for longer than one night.

Beautiful place and my family and I really enjoyed our stay here. Weather wasn't great to didn't get to fully enjoy the views from the hotel but overall really happy with our stay here

Loved the place , views , very kind staff, highly appreciated the vegan menu they prepared for me, it really make it an amazing experience ;it was delicious (more fulfilling and it’s one of the best meal I had).
