We stayed in the bell tent. It was beautiful , so peaceful and quiet. The only noise was the wildlife. Owls at night and the bells on the sheep in the morning from an adjacent field in the distance. Watch out for hedgehogs on your path , coming back from dinner after dark. Our host booked us into the most amazing, authentic French restaurants for both of our two evening stays. One was literally in the middle of nowhere. The local red wine is fabulous.

It’s not really a dislike , but the walk ( uphill ) from the bell tent to the property, where your car is parked is great for fitness.

Amazing place! Old farm in a very nice location. Remote area with lots of privacy, yet easy access to many beautiful sites. Very friendly hosts, who treat you like old friends ! Super helpful with great advice on how to organize your time, even made reservations for us at 2 local restaurants, both of which were superb! Nothing. We were happy with everything

This is an exquiste B&B tucked up against French hillsides with vistas to the Pyrenees. A perfect escape for walkers, skiers or general travellers. The hosts make you feel special and you will want to stay longer.

All good places are out of the way and this is no exception. However you soon find your bearings and off you go into Lasseube or Oloron for fine food experiences.

This is a wonderful old property, with gorgeous views over the hills, a huge and beautiful garden and lovely pool - all of which you are given access to. The accommodation is very comfortable and of a high standard. From the minute you arrive Tobias and his wife, Zayne offer a warm welcome into their home and introductions to their two little girls and assorted animal companions. The house has a couple of wings and guests (we were a group of four) are given their own area for eating, with fridge, coffee and tea machine and sitting/eating along with a pretty outside terrace to look at the view. Breakfast is plentiful and beautifully presented. Every effort is made to ensure you get the most of what the area has to offer with help and advice booking local restaurants (all good, some outstanding) or anything else you might need. The countryside around here is gorgeous and the nearby mountains with their wild horses and flocks of vultures spectacular. The little local village is unusually bustling (in our experience of rural France!) and Pau itself a really handsome, historic spa town. We will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend Chambre d'Hotes Secret Pyrenees.

Zayne and Tobias were the most amazing hosts. Nothing was a problem and they made you feel very very welcome. Enjoyed chatting with them at breakfast and meeting other lovely guests. The property and gardens were beautiful

No issues at all

Tobias and Zayne are very kind and helpful people who know the region very well and give excellent tips for diner and activities! We booked the tent which was really lovely decorated and located!

Temperature in the tent was quite high, mainly due to extreme weather conditions

A retreat experience. The hosts were very welcoming and very helpful. They gives us their time and the benefit of their experience in looking for property in the region. The house was amazing, in a beautiful location. The breakfasts were first class the homemade yoghurt, muffins and waffles were particularly welcome. The swimming pool area was beautiful and a lovely place to relax and read a book.

The weather.

The hosts were super nice and friendly and could give us all the advice we could ask for. They put a lot of thought in the little details which we appreciated. If you like an adventurous getaway in the Pyrenees this is the place to go to

Great host and hostess. We had a rental car problem and they were invaluable in helping us, even driving us to a grocery store to get some items for a dinner.
