The room and the bathroom were very clean. We had our bedsheets changed and room cleaned during our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed breakfast a lot. The location is great - right next to the lake (we had a room with a beautiful view on the lake). You can access a small beach - it's a 5-minute walk. The Auberge is also located near numerous places where you can rent kayaks, boats etc., and a couple of kilometres from the medieval town of Moustiers.

The only thing that I could think of is that it can be a bit noisy at times. Our room was located close to the staircase, and we could hear every noise from the corridor. Also, the sound of running water (from other bathrooms) was quite laud. However, if you take your earplugs, you should be fine for the night.

The hotel is extremely well located, with incredible views from the terrace and just a 5-10 minute walk to the lake, where there is a bar that rents out all kinds of water equipment and has really good food. We enjoyed having dinner at the hotel terrace, as sunsets there were beautiful, and the food was delicious. Staff was also very nice.

The rooms leave a lot to wish for. They turn off the AC after 10pm, so if you have a late arrival, your room will be cooking hot. Thankfully, the owners were super nice and gave us a fan, which helped with sleeping -- but turning off the AC at night causes guests to leave the AC on all day, even if they're not at the hotel, as you cannot use it overnight. The rooms have no hangers at all for bags, to dry your towels or bathing suits, or hang your toiletries. This could be a nice improvement :)

We stayed for a few days to visit the Gorge du Verdon. The hotel was perfect - from the friendly staff who assisted us in an early check-in, to the delicious (and generous portions) at the restaurant, we had a great stay. The rooms were simple but the beds were comfortable and the town was peaceful which meant a perfect nights rest. We had a delicious breakfast at the dining room which had a huge variety to choose from. The view from the hotel over the lake is stunning and there are a few walks close by as well.

There was only wifi downstairs (not in the rooms) but in a location like this, one should not really be on their phones.

The hotel is located in a small town with a relatively small population I believe the hotel has made every effort to improve the hotel's facilities The scenery here is very beautiful. If you are visiting southern France, don't miss this area. Also, it is recommended to bring the daily necessities you need and not have high expectations for the hotel's facilities. This will be a great travel memory

Fantastic location overlooking the lake, we are very pleased to have found this very friendly family run hotel. Comfortable room with amazing view from balcony. Great restaurant with lake view from terrace and friendly helpful staff (thank you Chloe and Fabienne!) serving good food. Hotel is also close to shops, restaurants and watersports. Perfect! We will definitely be returning!

Nothing to dislike. Only improvement would be to have tea/coffee making facilities in room and also a small fridge.

Location, Location, Location. Normally stay at Moustiers St Marie but wanted a change and after a full days driving this spot was perfect. Ensure you book a room with views over lake . We were able to walk down from hotel to beach and enjoy a relaxing afternoon . Ideal especially if you’ve been in a motorbike all day. The car park is off to left hand side of the hotel an drops down in front . It’s ideal for motorbikes but also if you’ve got cycles on back of car as we had this time. Terrace views are fabulous which can be enjoyed anytime but evening meal and breakfast we just perfect. We are at hotel but there’s plenty of restaurants on door step. Will definitely return .

Close to the lake, fantastic view from the terrace.

We found a long black hair in our salad. The salad was replaced by another dish (they couldn’t do another salad for unknown reasons), but the waitress still made us pay for the new dish (not for the salad fortunately). We would have expected more. Afterwards we opted to eat elsewhere, which was a pity as the restaurant has a lovely view on the lake.

Loved the hotel. We took 2 rooms facing the lake, the view was nice, the staff helpful. Large towels on request for the nearby beach were a nice touch. We had lots of luggage so elevator was handy, and luggage storage room was convenient. Breakfast was good though at 12 Euro a bit on the expensive side. A/C was powerful which was important due the heat wave.

A minor issue but the curtain is transparent so early light enters the room - should add a serious curtain.

The location of the hotel , looking over the lake is gorgeous. It is lovely to have breakfast there overlooking the lake. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and we had a warm welcome even though we arrived at almost 10pm. The room is clean , shower good , free parking. The hotel receptionist was also very helpful with places we wanted to see and took trouble to show us the various places on the map.

Everything was good but it would be nice e to have a kettle in the room even if we supplied our own coffee. Also we only found 1 power point in the room . However, there small things did not in any way spoil our stay

It is such a beautiful place. In particular, the host was full of love and made perfect preparations for the guests. The host is so kind and cool. The room was very clean and especially the bed was very comfortable. The bedding and bathroom were also so clean and perfect. We were able to enjoy a well-prepared meal in a better atmosphere than the hotel breakfast. The garden is also very beautiful. The parking lot is also perfect. I want to say from the bottom of one's heart to the host for everything the host has done for me.
