A charming apartment hotel situated pretty much in downtown Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. I see some reviews of people complaining about missing air condition. We were in Moustiers at late July where the average temperature was 28 degrees. If you open the windows on both sides of the apartment you will feel a strong wind, probably due to its close proximity to a mountain that creates a lot of downwind towards the city. We didn't miss an air condition, the fan was more than enough. The shower was equipped with a big shower head which was nice. The view on one side is amazing, you can see very far, basically to the next mountain chain.

So there is a restaurant right below the hotel so if you can't stand the smell of grill and fried food then this may not be the one for you; we could smell it as late 10-11pm. As mentioned above there is no air condition so to keep the rooms cool the windows need to be open. One room was situated further away from the kitchen which helped a bit. The city is small so parking can be a challenge. We were lucky to be able to leave the car about less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. This is naturally not the hotel's fault but try not to arrive too late to the city.

Location was perfect. The view across the valley was gorgeous. Very spacious apartment.

No shower curtain / frame to stop water spill on floor. Items MISSING from room description when booked ….sofa, safety deposit box, cleaning products, additional toilet, dressing room, oven, toaster, dishwasher, outdoor dining area, patio, clothes rack, board games/ puzzles, DVDS, music for children, hand sanitiser

Great location, amazing views. Each room is special and uniquely decorated. Very comfortable beds. Wonderful sheets and towels. One of our rooms had a dishwasher and the option to use Netflix.

The availability of kitchen appliances seemed a bit random. The freezers in both our rooms needed to be defrosted.

In a great location, lovely host and our expectations were totally exceeded in terms of the size of the apartment! I loved the trinkets inside and the aesthetic of the place.

The bed was quite firm, nothing to dislike but just a matter of preference. We did struggle a bit in the heat without air-conditioning so keep this in mind… there was one fan but in August, it would be even better to have two.

It’s very near the center of the village and the view is very scenic and beautiful

The apartment was very old and I did feel like it was haunted. The little table fan was a nightmare, it made horrendous noises at night. The apartment in general felt a little eerie at night

Would be nice to have a bit more basics like tea bags, coffee capsules, liquid soap for shower. There were 2 sachets of soap for 3 people which was just below minimal. Small things but really change your experience from great to ok

A charming hotel, perfectly located in this beautiful medieval village/commune! We were so delighted with our stay and the character of this hotel. Our apartment was filled with antiques and beautiful collectibles that made the experience feel like stepping back in time. And the view from our room was lovely, looking out over the valley below. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and welcoming, and helped to make our stay so enjoyable. Moustiers-Saint-Marie is listed as "one of the most beautiful villages in France" and it certainly lives up its reputation! It is an incredible town, tucked on the side of the mountain under soaring cliffs, with water falls, small bridges, and a chapel high on the cliffs. This hotel was the perfect spot, right in the walls of the old town.

Nothing. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Our only issue was with our car rental through Booking.com and the poor customer service we received :(

Wow, what an amazing place! The view of the mountains and the town is absolutely fantastic! The place feels very authentic, it’s clean inside and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lots of cafés and little shops around. Highly recommended!

This is a simply amazing village to stay in, and the Hôtel Particulier des Lumières was the perfect place for me to stay within the village. I visited out of season in a small two person apartment with amazing views. The host provided late check in, help getting to the village, a warm reception with great food and then lots of help and advice on exploring the village and surrounding mountains for the following morning. The morning walk up to the chapel behind the village was an amazing experience and provided a truly spectacular view from above the village, down the valley and all the way to the lake. I truly wish I had more time in this great little hotel with its welcoming hosts and the truly special village it is located in. Thanks for having me!

This is not a "standard" hotel but fully furnished small apartments. The location is beautiful in the center of the village, parking at 200 meter with a walk through the old village. There are no services onsite, you receive the key and drop them when you leave. The Kant apartment has a small kitchen of you want to prepare breakfast or meals. Perfect base for visiting Verdon and the surroundings

Don't look here for luxury or standard comfort as in an hotel, the furniture is a mix of old and new assembled throughout the years. if you can adapt there is plenty of room in the apartment.
