Perfect location to walk into Castellane. Marco, at reception was very helpful recommending sights to see in the area. Reasonable price for very nice accommodation with simple, but quality continental breakfast.

We liked the property very much but we’re surprised to find out when we arrived that credit cards are not accepted for payment although Booking.com stated that Mastercard and Visa were accepted as payment. We worked it out as there was an ATM located about a 15 minute walk away.

Marco & his wife are very pleasant and helpful. Marco is very knowledgeable about the great biking roads in the region and more than happy to help. The hotel is basic but decent for the price. Small but lovely pool, especially after a long hot days ride in the mountains. Supermarket close for fuel and any food drink for the room (fridge in room) Town centre a few mins walk to restaurants and bars. Good undercover parking for motorcycles but can get full so have to then park without cover but not a problem. The driveway to hotel & parking is very uneven & loose stones, gravel so care needed when entering & exiting. The breakfast is plentiful but is all carbs, croissants, cake, toast & jam, juice & coffee and can get very busy for the small reception area where it is laid out. At the end of the day if you want luxury you pay for it. If you are travelling and want a room for the night or are on a motorcycle tour as I was and want a good base for the week with all you need and don’t mind going out to eat on the evening then this place is perfect. Breakfast very basic

They accommodated a late arrival rather than other places on yourt site who just were not interested. The room was clean and view was really lovely, especially if you are on a higher floor as we were. I did not state a preference for a quiet room as per your previous question. Did not try the pool as it was not heated and it was chilly in the morning. We were hardly there so cannot comment for more than a one day time period. It is good for self sufficient travellers who are there to do outside activities rather than live in a hotel.. so great for us. As a bonus, 5 mins drive or 10 mins stroll away is the village centre and a lovely hotel for reasonably priced, delicious cooked breakfasts - Le Petit Auberge.

Provide online directions to get to ones room when one is arriving late, rather than a piece of paper stuck in a door that you dont find or isnt easy to locate. The staff are keen to get you out to clean for the next guest.

Motorbike friendly. Used by touring bikers. V basic accommodation but at the price it does the job. Nice pool. Beds ok . Bathroom clean. Breakfast adequate.Central to town. Plenty places to eat nearby.

Sheets had plastic coating underneath which made a rustling noise and made it hot to sleep. Shower not so good with fluctuating water pressure.

Rooms were large and well presented. nice little patio on ground floor and balconies upstairs, swimming pool was an added bonus, breakfast was basic but sufficient. Would highly recommend as a base to explore the fantastic country side in the area. loved it

I liked the size of the room and the microwave and fridge that was provided too a very nice touch. The beds were comfy and the room was very clean. I also liked the balcony too.

Very warm ,friendly welcome to nice family style hotel in a nice quiet location. It had nice views from our balcony and we felt very comfortable here

From our point of view, it was an ideal stop over on our trip to the Route Napoleon. The breakfast was good and the patron was very helpful

It was an easy walk into the centre of Castellane. The staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was excellent after a day of hiking in hot weather.

I do have to agree on some previous posts, that the beds are a little uncomfortable and the shower curtain is annoying when it clings to you .

The property caters well for motorcyclists it has a shelter perfect for storing bikes and is off the beaten track to help keep prying eyes away. The room was a little basic and needed updating but the bed was excellent and comfortable for a great nights sleep. Came with a balcony overlooking the garden and pool area. Breakfast was really good and a 2 minute short walk into the lovely village of Castellane. The owner was great, nice guy very pleasant and very welcoming. Good value for money.

The room had a kitchenette that looked like it needed a little upgrade. I would have like some coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The pool area was closed which was unfortunate.
