We liked La Bastide du Paradou - it had an authentic feel that so many places have lost through over modernisation and contemporary design. All the rooms are very spacious with views over the garden. The bed was large and comfortable and the place was spotless. The en-suite bathrooms was huge and had, unlike so many hotels, plenty of space to hang towels wash kits etc. There is a spacious ding room. The breakfast is good. Dinner should be booked in advance as there is a limited, home cooked menu. The smallish garden is delightfully overgrown and a lovely place to have an evening drink from the bar. The Bastide itself is situated a seven minute walk below Moustier via a lovely footpath. The husband & wife proprietors speak limited English but are extremely helpful. The free car parking is also a definite plus as parking in or near the village would be difficult.

The garden appears to be closed between 12 and 3pm for the proprietors to have some down-time but I think this is negotiable. The property wouldn't be suitable for those who would find the uphill walk to the village difficult.

Excellent sized rooms, we had a choice of three rooms on the top floor Breakfast delicious and very accommodating we had two evening meals with our group of 6 and the food and wine were outstanding, cooked to order with friendly service The garden was cosy and hospitable and ideal for pre-dinner drinks good advice for our walks and sightseeing

The bath didn't have a working plug but one of the other rooms did so we borrowed that one

Great location, 5 min walking distance from Moustiers charming town. Room was big, comfortable, calm and with a gorgeous view. The hotel is owned and managed by a family: all staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and cooked on demand from fresh & local ingredients.

Really beautiful building and grounds. Good breakfasts. Very stylish room.

Air con did not always work, although this was temporarily fixed. Hard to communicate about meal on first night although did get a very good one after requesting at check-in. Nobody ate in after that first night. Difficulty to find places to eat on Sunday evening.

Very quaint hotel in a remarkable historic building but with accomodating, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Super convenient parking.

It's a little hard to locate, so review maps first. The temperature in our room ran hot, even though the AC was on.

The Uranus room was beautiful, with plenty of space and fresh air, thanks to the open windows. The breakfast was wonderful and if you're up for a healthy uphill walk to the village, the location was perfect.

What a gem! This is an intimate and rustic family run inn nestled just below the ramparts of Moustiers, so a quick (though somewhat steep) stroll into the center of town. The owners could not have been more welcoming or charming! Most rooms overlook the courtyard garden where we had an exceptional dinner and breakfast (monsieur loves cooking to order at his wood-fired grill in the courtyard and delights in preparing special vitamin packed smoothies for his guests in the morning!). The garden is a treasure in itself... fruit trees brimming with plums and figs and fresh flowers on every table. Rooms are clean, airy, and spacious Only possible downside is that it might be difficult for some to take luggage up the stairs.

The breakfast was fantastic. The location was very quiet and well located. The room was very airy and spacious. The quaint touches were well appreciated.

The parking area could be made better - probably markings would accomodate more vehicles.

Tastefully, simply decorated bedrooms in this historic 16th century building. A very peaceful and calm location with off-road parking opposite. Comfy beds. A very welcoming host who provided a map of the area and suggested walking routes round the village. A lovely breakfast in the garden - fresh melon, homemade smoothies, yoghurt and local honey etc were a break from the standard fare.

Nothing, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
