Lovely boutique hotel with huge rooms. The staff are lovely and there were a lot of small surprises for the guests. There was a baggie of praline sweets in the room on arrival as well as candy and lemonade in the lobby daily. Our room was spotlessly cleaned daily and towels changed each time. The area was a little far from the old Lyon but quiet at night which I appreciated. That being said, there were tons of bakeries, cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance and it's close to the botanical gardens/zoo which are free and worth a visit.

The A/C makes an intermittent buzzing noise and the outlets on the wall across the bed and TV weren't working.

Rooms were very comfy and big enough. Showers were small but water pressure was excellent. Beds comfy. Soaps should have been refilled before we arrived as we ran out. Day manager, a very sweet girl that was so very helpful and kind--thank you.

Breakfast was decent but when there's more than four people eating, please make a little more bacon, fruit etc to be put out. Plenty of breads, yogurts, etc. Great coffee. Overall, a nice breakfast with a lovely terrace to enjoy your coffee and breakfast. My review says says sad face but I don't know why because breakfast was good!

Our second stay at this lovely little hotel. It's within about quarter of an hour's walk from Part-Dieu station so great for an overnight stay. It's really comfortable, clean and welcoming, with lovely touches, such as some crisps and sweets in the room as well as tea and coffee. We also appreciated the bottle of water and the fact that there are proper glasses and cups in the room rather than plastic ones. The hotel was happy to accommodate my request for a room on the first or second floor, something I really appreciated. The breakfast was fantastic, loads of choice of bread, cakes and pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, cold meats and hot breakfast.

Unassuming on the outside but a true little gem on the inside. The boutique style & decor gives this hotel heart. Complimentary bottle of water & candied almonds a nice touch. Rooms clean & bed comfy. Chilled water station was a big plus especially in midst of Lyon heatwave. Monoprix around the corner , along with plenty of bars & cafes to choose from. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The property does has air-conditioning but unfortunately with most of France in grip of heatwave the cooling unit was struggling.

There is a great attention to detail that shows a lot of care for the guests' experience from the moment you enter the hotel where you'll find a nice smell, some water, snacks and sweets to enjoy. I was welcomed with a little note on the bed and a bottle of water. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is surrounded by nice cafés and restaurants and a short walk away from the Rhône river for a morning run.

The (amazing) breakfast buffet felt like a scavenger hunt where it wasn't clear where to find what and the person didn't feel committed to facilitate the search

The location was perfect the staff were an absolute delight and incredibly helpful, check in and out times were generous and everything was beautiful and well appointed. The terrace was lovely and the lemonade provided by the hotel was a dream, I can’t say enough good things.

Nothing important- the elevator is a bit little might need multiple trips if you’re in a group with a lot of luggage but at least there is an elevator! :)

Charming location in the old town, quiet street, yet close to all important (shops, subway, train station, park). Amazing breakfast with selection of fresh pastry, changing selection (a bit) every day, cool and cosy restaurant. Bluetooth speaker (of good quality) in the room was a pleasant touch, made me feel at home immediately. Room had electric blinds. Finally a hotel in Lyon I truly liked (I have tried few already).

Room was a little dark, I would appreciate stronger lights. The space for clothing was limited in the room. Room was a bit cold when I came, but it was possible to adjust the heating.

The location of the hotel is great. Quiet but close to many restaurants. The area is very safe and walkable. Room was lovely and had air conditioning. The hotel itself is boutique and cute, not like a chain hotel. We didn’t choose to purchase breakfast, but it looked like nice options and an early start. Although no parking available at hotel, we found a spot just around the corner on the street.

The wifi, although free, would only allow one of us to use it at a time. Not sure if that is just us but it was a pain.

Very rarely will you find such a gem of a hotel and its staff. The staff was absolutely amazing throughout. I stayed in the hotel for six nights, and each day was mesmerizing. The staff went far and beyond to meet my requests, even helping me find the best places to visit Lyon and the best local restaurants to eat. For the amount I paid for six nights that included breakfast, this hotel is a steal deal. It's located in a lovely, quiet place in Lyon, close to the metro, bus stop, and restaurants. Laundry, shops, groceries, a massage parlor, a barber shop—you name it—are all a stone's throw away. On my departure day, the staff even prepared a cup of coffee for me as a farewell gesture. I've never felt so warmly greeted and welcomed. If I ever find myself back in Lyon, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in Edmond W again. I can't speak highly enough of it!

I need help to think of something that I didn't like. Everything was great! Shuffling the breakfast with a different course would be good, but that's a minor touch.

A very friendly welcome. The boutique decor is fabulous and a very high spec. The cleanliness of the room and hotel. Our room was small. However, the use of space was clever, and it was done out beautifully. The bathroom spacious, sparkling clean and modern. The homely, comfy feeling of the hotel shined through. The location is in a trendy part of town with cocktail bars and restaurants. Though the hotel is on a quiet street, we slept well.

Nothing we didn't like we would definitely stay here again.
