We stayed here for one night before moving to Disney Sequoia Lodge for the rest of our stay. We chose to stay in Explorers on the first night because we arrived late afternoon and didn’t want to waste money on an extra Disney day for what would have been a few hours. The hotel is beautifully themed and great for kids. Lots of “pirate” decor and the fountain beside the reception lobby was lovely. The pool was lovely and warm, and the slides and “pirate ship” were good fun, also a selection of loungers around the pool for anyone who didn’t want to go into the water. Pool towels were available to rent for 2€ each and they also had vending machines with swimming gear like armbands, goggles, etc. if you forgot to pack some. We didn’t use the 4D cinema but we enjoyed the arcade games. The outdoor climbing frame was also fun for the kids. Our room on the sixth floor was clean and comfortable with a ceiling fan which helped keep the room to a nice temp despite the warmth outside. A kettle with tea and coffee facilities and a mini-fridge were also provided in the room. The included breakfast selection, which was continental with cereals, cold cuts, bread, pastries and yoghurt, was nice and had everything you could need. You can upgrade to hot food also but we didn’t feel the need to. The evening buffet was also nice with a good selection of food to choose from. We didn’t have anything from Marco’s Pizzeria but when walking past we saw some other guests eating from there and the food looked good. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The free shuttle bus to Disneyland, which came by the hotel every 15 minutes or so and dropped you off at Chessy Bus Station beside the entrance to the parks, was very handy, too. For a three-star hotel, we felt that Explorers was good value for money, and the whole experience helped to add to the “magical” vibe of Disneyland. We would certainly stay here again if we return to Disneyland Paris in future.

For a couple of hours in the evening there was a power cut which was a shame but thankfully resolved relatively quickly. The pool was relatively shallow all around - better for kids not so much adults (I’m 5ft11 and the water came up to my midriff when upright), and was quite busy at times. Although the food was good it was relatively pricey for what it was (150€ for 3 adults and a child for dinner at the buffet) and drinks are not included in the buffet price. But when you come to Disneyland you can expect most things to be overpriced, I suppose! The TV in our room only had one channel, the French TF1, so we couldn’t really watch anything on it. But we didn’t spend much time in the room during the day anyway so it wasn’t too much of an issue.

Everything was lovely .. had a lovely time..plenty for the kids only thing was the bus to and from disney mainly the last bus back was out of control busy you could do with arranging a few more buses at end of night.I am not sure who funds the buses or what way it works but just for people to be mindful that the late bus is a bit crazy Children and babiesand parents annoyed upset thinKing that they may not get back to hotel other than that perfect. Pizza bar great idea and value for money don't change. Alcohol very expensive but I think that's just paris and disney. Over all this hotel is great for children .. swimming pool .. games room . Sweet shop .play ground... one thing pool table 4euro you get more people using it if it was 1 to 2 euro .. reception staff were lovely very helpful and pleasant considering this a very busy hotel it never stopped ..

This is the perfect hotel for a family with young children. Every part of the hotel is made for them, there is so much to do, and they were more than happy just to hang around at the hotel. The free breakfast is adequate, though very heavy on bread items. We did also do the Captains Breakfast, which is extra, but has eggs, sausages, pancakes... it was good. Both the airport and Disney shuttles pass frequently, so getting around is easy. The shower pressure and water temperature were amazing.

The ship in the pool was closed the entire time we were there, which was what the children were looking forward to the most. The pool is nice, but not huge, so the evening can become overcrowded. There were some problems with rough-housing and chaos in the pool and soft play area with a middle school trip that was also staying in the hotel, but the staff promptly took care of the issues and it was absolutely not the fault of the hotel (the guy at the pool is wonderful!)

The pool is an amazing additional amenity to this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and of a good size. Breakfast was of a good standard. Hotel clean, and I liked the dragon feature fountain downstairs. Both the shop and pool was open to 11 pm at night which was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back.

The cafe food was awful, 2/10.

Lots of facilities on site, and the staff were very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic.

Air con would have been nice! It was 29C all week and although the window opened fully (4th floor!) And it had a roof fan, it was still crazy hot.

Very warm as no air con apart from noisy fan and noise out on playground until late and noisy banging doors in neighbouring rooms(Which is expected in a family hotwe)

Noise levels and heat in room

Lots on site for kids, choice of 2 restaurants

Being charged 17Euros a day for parking even though your staying at the hotel is a scam! This should be included for hotel guests!. No warm choice for breakfast only cold offerings or toast.

Loved all the facilities and the location. The free facilities on site are absolutely amazing for keeping the kids entertained. The photos don’t do it justice. There’s a fantastic pool with lots of slides a huge playground outside and a huge indoor soft play area. Honestly I would definitely stay at this hotel again even with the small things that were frustrating. It’s definitely still the best hotel for kids

The arcade and bowling are very expensive around €5 pp per game and we paid €20 for a game of bowling and we never got refunded!! The barman said go to the receptionist they told us to come back in the morning. Went back in the morning and they said management won’t be in for 2 days so never got a refund. This also happened in the arcade where you would pay the 4-5 euro and the game wouldn’t start. Very annoying as it’s a waste of money. But everything else is all good. The bus is also extremely hard to get in the evening, huge crowds and one bus going to 3-4 hotels it’s too much. We got a taxi home most nights which works out about €20

All the open facilities were good, kids loved the park and the pool. Good to have the shuttle bus available for getting to Disneyland. Cleaning team that I came across were nice and friendly. Dining options were good.

Soft play not open, which was a shame. Shop could sell a better variety of stuff. Staff were fine, but not all of them were what I’d call “super welcoming”, which is a shame because it’s a family hotel and you’d expect a bright smile and a welcoming personality. The changing area in the pool needs a bit of TLC, and some other areas of the hotel too. Needs to be made clearer in advance that the included breakfast is continental only.

Good hotel close to Disneyland (about 15 minutes away) with a free shuttle bus (running approximately every 15–20 minutes). It has a good breakfast with croissants, cold cuts, cereals, and fruit salads. Please note that hot items (sausages, bacon, omelet, etc.) come at an extra charge if you want them. The hotel also offers many extra activities for children, such as water slides (open until 23:00), an indoor play area, and a very nice playground.

It should be more affordable in order to have a competitive advantage compared to the hotels inside Disneyland. Another drawback is that there is no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable during the summer.
