France Hotel exceeded all expectations from the start with the warm & friendly greeting on arrival and the help with additional local information on florists (thank you Delphine). The room was light, spacious, clean and quiet with a view over the calming inner courtyard. The breakfast was delicious & plentiful, enjoyed in the light filled breakfast room. The hosts were attentive, friendly and extremely helpful without being intrusive. We parked in the nearby underground car park (10 euros for 24 hours) and this was only a short walk to the hotel. In the opposite direction a short walk into the very centre of Niort and Les Halles and local restaurants.

The proprietors were incredibly friendly and gracious . They strike a lovely balance between being helpful & interested in guests’ needs and interests and allowing guests autonomy if preferred. The room was beautiful and well appointed.

A brief caution that the sat nav. Programs have failed to update the conversion of several Niort streets to pedestrian walkways. The proprietor’s shared their concern with the difficulties this causes guests coming by car. They went out of their way to be easily reachable to help us navigate to parking. They shared that they have made many attempts to pursue correction with the say nav. programs. The stay here was well worth the extra communication needed to navigate the area around the hotel by car & the proprietors were very helpful and prepared with good directions.

Welcomed at the door by the friendly hotel owner who offered a number of recommendations of places to visit, bars and restaurants. We stored our bicycles in a secure room in the hotel courtyard. Lovely room overlooking a pedestrianised street in the town centre. We had a minor accident requiring a visit to hospital during our stay in Niort and we cannot over emphasise the kindness and helpfulness of the hotel owners.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We were having difficulty with our French phones which he resolved for us. He gave good advice about the Niort township. The position of the hotel was central and perfect for discovering this lovely town.

Everything was perfect ! The lady at the reception desk is extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. The room was really comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were really pleasantely surprised by the size of the room and the bathroom. It is spacious and a lot bigger than many places we have stayed at before. The location cannot be better, very central, yet quiet. We loved it and highly recommend it.

The couple running the hotel simply does a super job. They are professional, kind, and friendly. One can feel they work very hard to ensure their clients have the best possible experience. The room was spotless. Breakfast was as described during check-in.

The owners were exceptionally helpful about places to see snd things to do. The location was in the pedestrian area so was quiet. Yhe car park was only 5 minutes walk to the hotel.

Staff went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. Also I had paid twice by mistake and was reimbursed after I had already left. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.

The hotel was in a perfect location for cafes, restaurants and site seeing around the town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we couldn't fault our room, lovely comfortable bed and with good facilities. Breakfast was very satisfying to set us up for the day! We would definitely visit again if in Noirt.

We had not heard of Niort, and went there because a friend lives there. What a gorgeous town! Beautiful buildings, spacious streets and lovely people. Our hosts at the hotel were lovely. They made sure we were comfortable, made the process of checking in and out easy, and take pride in their hotel. It was a pleasure to stay with them and we will again in the future I'm sure.
