We loved the meals in the small, shaded garden next to the pool. The (small) pool was a little bonus. We twice took the excellent dinner for a reasonable price.

The location in the center of the village made it necessary to use one of the private parking options. We elected the one in the old barn about 300 meters from the hotel. Even with a small number of other cars in there, manoevring with a long car was a bit of a challenge (both inside the barn and to get in/out).

The staff were very good, the proprietor? He came out when he saw us driving around looking lost. He was receptionist, barman and in the restaurant the waiter and sommelier. The hotel is in a quiet village and parking outside can be an issue but there are a few garage spaces available at additional cost and a lot of parking not far away. There is a terrace that overlooks a small pool and we enjoyed an aperitif there before the meal. The restaurant had a good fixed price menu and the local wine went down well. Good shower and breakfast set us up well for the next day. Well worth travelling a bit away from the autoroute.

The room was small and the bed too, but both adequate for our needs and we slept well.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Happy to switch to English if needed. The patio area is shaded and a nice place for breakfast, dinner or just to sit out. The wifi was good too. I had no issues working on the patio.

Parking could be a bit of a problem if you turn up late in the evening. All street parking is free but trying to find something available close to the hotel could be a challenge.

Clean hotel and room, well equipped room even had a kettle. Nice swimming pool. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking outside in street if you can find a space if not it's a 2 minute walk from carpark at end of street. Very large comfortable bed.

Not much choice on evening menu, a cheaper snack choice would have been good.

Very cozy and comfortable stay. The room was small but perfectly equipped for a restful night. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant served delicious, flavorful food. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!

Very good "strategic" position of the village - to visit the area of Minerve, Narbonne, Béziers etc. Surprising "discoveries" in the close neighbourhood - etang de Montady, tunnel du Malpas... We enjoyed the possibility to eat in the restaurant of the hotel (there is almost no other chance in the village).

We had 3 rooms - one absolutely perfect, the other one very good, the third one really small.

This was exactly the sort of village family-run hotel that I love to find in France, with loads of local character, good food, excellent local wine and a comfy room. Our friendly hosts made our stay most enjoyable.

The bathroom was a little scruffy and could do with a lick of paint, but that's just normal wear and tear.

I love the town that the hotel is in very un touched by time. Hotels pool is clean and secluded. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and had a very comfortable large bed .

Nissan lez Ensérune is a town we stumbled upon by accident during our Canal du Midi bike trip. We had intended to stay in Colombiers, but couldn’t find lodging there. Nissan was only 2-3 kilometers away- an easy ride, even with fully loaded bicycles. The Hotel Restaurant Résidence was pretty, welcoming and ultra well-kept. The facilities were in tiptop shape, including the swimming pool available to guests. The staff had read our “Booking” messages and remembered on our arrival that we wished to store our bikes. The staff was professional in the best sense of the word. We had a memorable Pastisse next to the pool in the evening.

No improvements come to mind.

We asked for a twin room with 2 beds , unfortunately the beds could have been better, but the atmosphere and kind staff made up for this inconvenience.
