The location of Hotel Gerando is hard to beat. It was only about a 10 min walk from Gare du Nord which is super convenient for both the Eurostar and the airports. At the same time, it is only 5 mins away from the bottom of the Sacre Coeur stairs, so super convenient for Montmartre but not nearly as crowded. Staff was lovely and the room was clean.

This did not affect me or my partner, but I would strongly recommend against staying here if you have any mobility issues, large luggage and/or claustrophobia. The lift was extremely small--only big enough for two people at once. I think it would be hard to fit even one person with a large suitcase. What's more, the lift is on the landing between floors, so there are quite a few steps that are not avoidable.

Great hotel, small room but it was what i expected from the photos for a single room. Staff we friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, and such a perfect size for a solo traveller Breakfast was basic, but then you get what you pay for at a smaller hotel. Didn't bother me at all. Was very helpful after a late night out to come back to fresh scrambled eggs!

No complaints from me really. You really get what you pay for, for a budget hotel. But the main things is it was clean, with helpful staff. Also, a perfect location if going to any concerts / events at Le Trianon. Also super close to the metro and less than 10 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord

The breakfast was good, hotel was located in a great place with easy access to Sacre Coeur, and the Metro at Anvers. The reception staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly.

The bathroom was tiny, barely any room to get to sink or toilet- the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. The room itself was also not particularly generous in size. The air con didn’t work properly, so the rooms were quite warm, we received an email notifying us after we left and offering to cancel our room for free, a little late by then.

Excellent location of the hotel. Near the metro, bus stops, shops and attractions. We enjoyed walking along the streets of Paris to all the main attractions. The staff is very good. They listen to wishes and fulfill requests. fresh, good repair. very clean in the room. Very comfortable mattresses, pillows and blankets. Clean bed linen without stains, holes and hair. It was a pleasure to sleep. When booking we asked for a quiet non-smoking room and we got it. Many thanks to the staff! The breakfast was simply magnificent! Excellent coffee, tea, vegetables, fruits, sausages, muesli, excellent omelette, salami, cheeses, pancakes and of course fresh French pastries! I recommend this hotel to everyone!!! I would be happy to come here again.

The staff is friendly and hospitable and was accommodating of our requests. We had an early checkin at 11am itself. The rooms are decently spacious and well maintained. As a tourist, the chocolates and croissants at the reception were a relief everytime we returned to the hotel during the day. The location is convenient to reach all major attractions. Stay was comfortable. There are several good restaurants nearby and the Sacre coeur is a 10min walk.

The breakfast could have some more options. It was just okay with a basic spread of choices.

Booked here for the Olympics at short notice. Read good reviews but wasn’t expecting much. For the price it was terrific: buffet breakfast, plentiful hot water, air con, good decor. Cleanliness should be a given and it was very clean with fresh towels everyday. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Special mention of Shebosh, day time manager. A really friendly welcome with an ice cold bottle of water on a very hot day. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Plenty of local bars & restaurants and it felt safe. The metro Anvers is under 10 minute walk away with a great view of the Sacre Coeur up the hill. The Gare du Nord under 20 minutes walk.

The lift stops in between the floors and the stairs are quite steep but it is an old building so it added to its charm. It is not a big negative for me.

Our original flight was cancelled, and we could not cancel our reservation but the staff were kind enough to offer us a reschedule of our stay. It seems like the hotel has been renovated recently. The rooms are clean and tidy, very similar to the pictures so you get what you expect. They have air conditioning as well as USB ports for charging, a TV and a kettle. The bathroom is small but well equipped as well. The breakfast (between 7 and 10AM) is very good for the price, be sure to tick that box as it will save you a lot of time in the morning. As for the Location: 2 metro stations are near the hotel (2 mins and 4 mins walking distance) as well as Monmarte. The reception is always available 24/7, we never had an issue even when we reached very late to the hotel.

The location, even though it is close to 2 metro stations and next to Monmarte (Sacré Coeur), is within a zone that is considered unsafe. The rooms (including the bathroom) are very small, you can barely fit around the beds. But if all you're doing is sleeping there you'll be just fine.

The staff were super polite and everything in our room was perfectly clean. The bed was comfortable, there was no noise disturbing our sleep (we were in the room facing the inner yard). The area had many shops, restaurants and bars, and was well connected with the public transport.

The breakfast could have been a bit richer for the price we had paid. It was great, but maybe lacking a bit of savoury options (there was only omelette and boiled eggs, the rest was sweet).

Clean hôtel, clean room and perfect location to walk to Sacré Cœur. It’s a nice area overall with nice bistros around. Huge thanks to the staff, I’m sorry I didn’t ask for your names but you know who you are! My mom was so touched by your kindness - thank you again :)

Only thing i could think of is the lift structure, you need to walk a few stairs to access it which might be tricky if you have leg issues.

I was in room 601 with a sighting of sacre couer from my windows, which opened. The location was superb - very close to anvers underground and a number of buses. An easy walk to Sacre Couer. There is a lift. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and curio shops in the area. Everything was fresh and new. My room was very quiet

The shower was small, but no smaller than other places I have stayed in Paris
