Lovely decorated and nice choice of paint. Bathroom modern and large shower with lovely products. Room is compact with space cleverly utilised. Bed was really comfy, and staff were friendly and so helpful and accommodating. Luggage storage facilities a bonus and free water in the room. Location great for the metro station and 15 minutes walk to Gare du Nord station. 10-15 minutes walk to the beautiful Monmarte area where there are an abundance of cafes, restaurants and the Sacre du Coeur. 1 minute walk to the metro station. However, surrounding streets had a homeless population with people begging and selling cigarettes. No threat towards tourists. I live in London so i am exposed to social deprivation, living in and only sharing for people who may not have experienced this type of exposure.

If I had to critique, would be nice to have a mini fridge. I understand space is limited.

Everything !!!! The stay was perfect from the beginning to the end !!! Thank you soooo much to the lady who did the check in for us !!! I work in a very luxury hotel in Dubai and I never met since kind, helpful, smiling receptionist !!! She was simply the best receptionist I met and made our stay so perfect ! I did ask the name at the check in because I was super tired and after it was too late , I am sorry about it because she really deserve a promotion with the amazing smile and kindness she gives to the guests. The decoration was soooo cute ! And I am in love with the balcony. But the stay won’t be the same without the receptionist. Not all the hotel knows how to host like this one ! Even some palace won’t do that good.

The cleaning could have being better. Some hairs on the bed and bathroom .. the housekeeping team could done much better.

From the start the people we dealt with were very helpful, one spoke 11 languages, the other two spoke 5 each so communicating was great. The breakfast was good and as I am British I like tea, on the first morning I asked if I could have the tea made the British way, the following mornings it was made perfect and came to the table for me without asking. On our departure day the taxi that had been ordered and paid for did not turn up so the hotel people ordered us an Uber with came and got us to the airport just in time for our flight with just minutes to spare, if it wasn’t for the hotel we would have missed the flight.

Maybe have at least one table for more than two people at breakfast, there were three of us, we sat next to each other but it would have been nice to have shared the same table.

All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There was a slight problem with the room when I checked in, but this was quickly resolved. The rooms are small but very clean and well appointed, with modern furniture and decorations, and very comfortable beds - I slept in two and they were both as good as each other. The bathrooms are also small but there is everything you need. Breakfast is a buffet but this is normal now in most hotels - plenty of pastries, cereals, hot food etc - and very good quality. It's close to Gard du Nord so convenient if you are coming by Eurostar - about 9 euros by taxi, and also close to a metro station to get you to all the tourist attractions of Paris.

The area (next to the Barbès-Rochechouart metro station) is not the best, but we two women out alone didn't encounter any trouble. The streets are dirty and crowded, but this isn't the fault of the hotel. Just a warning that if that bothers you, it may be best to stay somewhere else. However it is in easy walking distance of Sacre-Cœur and lots of nice restaurants and cafés around there.

The location was pretty useful. The staff was very helpful from first to last day. Room was clean. Shower comfortable. No noise allowing good rest. One for the book again list.

Came back at 6am one of the night only to be left ringing for about 10 minutes outside in the cold because the security guy must have fallen asleep. Calling the phone number didn't help either at that time. Luckily, someone came down to check out and this did get me to have someone open the door. Hopefully a one off glitch but this wasn't the 24/7 I was used to and the weather didn't have me enjoy that short spell waiting.

Recently stayed at Maison Barbes for a birthday trip to the city - and this hotel is perfect for a few nights of exploring and seeing the best of Monmartre. Huge thank you to all of the staff who made the stay feel really special - attentive, polite and willing to offer advice on what to see in the area. Overall the hotel is stunning, really well designed and comfortable. Very well connected with metro routes, and not far from Gare Du Nord too which is super helpful for getting around. Breakfast was good to have as well, but plenty of boulangeries near by as well, so you have plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again - bear in mind that you're in Pairs and space comes at a premium, but this is boutique at its best.

Gym is very small, but good enough for an early morning workout before hitting the city. Agree with some other reviews that the area isn't the best after dark, but had no issues if you're able to ignore anyone selling cigarettes outside the metro.

The location was good, close to the Gard du Nord station and the metro station, so the connection is very good, a few hundred meters away there are decent bars and cafes, as well as food stores, also nearby in the Montmartre region. The hotel is easy to find, nice staff, clean room.

The area around the hotel may seem unsafe to some travelers, but we had no problems. The hotel room is super small, it was difficult to find a place to put your things, so it might be a problem for those who staying longer with more things. The windows isolate the street noises well, but you could still hear the whirring of large fans from the roof of a nearby building. Also, upon arrival at the hotel, a deposit of 100 Euros is taken (in cash or by card), regardless of whether the accommodation has been paid or not, which is returned upon check-out. The choice of food for breakfast is quite limited, strangely there were no vegetables.

Stayed here during the Paris Olympics and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel and room decors are quite well done. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and provided local recommendations for restaurants/shopping - Ariana, Jewel, Tamuna, Dani (not sure if I spelt the names right). There was daily breakfast available as well which was good and a basic bar during nighttime. Another plus was the basic fitness center with treadmill/cardio and basic weight machines which I personally found quite useful. Presence of a fitness center was a requirement for the trip and not all the hotels in comparable size/price range had fitness centers. There was a sauna as well which I didn't end up using though. Hotel is located very close to the 2 and 4 metro lines. Also close to Montmartre/Sacre Couer Basilica. Overall highly recommended

Room size and fitness center size is on the smaller side but this seems to be an issue with lot of hotels in Paris so can't really do much about it. Location is not the best, not that many great options for restaurants/cafes nearby but metro is very close so easy to go to other parts of Paris or can go to Montmartre/Place du Tertre which is within walking distance.

Location was super close to Metro Station, literally across the road. And like we intended to check out Montmartre region, it was very close to it and the back stairs of Sacre le coer... if go towards the church theres a tone of option for food.. the Hotel has a super charming vibe, the dark colours and low light is so intimate, all the staff we spoke to was super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the shower had super hot water, and the room deco, following the entrance deco was super cute.

The surroundings of the metro station are very sketchy at down/night, with a lot of guys trying to sell you things, mostly cigarettes. The hotel is a 4 star hotel as it is advertised, but in my opinion it didn't feel like a 4 star hotel.. not that it wast good, it was...but the room we stayed in was super small with a small bathroom, I do understand we got a cheap deal of last minute and got the cheapest option available... but for the price I was expecting more... and the room view, to the back of the other buildings.. a bit weird, could not really keep curtains open. There was a lot of dust everywhere in the room, as if it hasn't been cleaned

My daughter and I stayed in Maison Barbès For 4 nights and we cannot praise the place and the staff enough. We had booked the correct dates, but for next year my mistake. When i called the hotel, I talked to Arianna who was so understanding and allowed us to change the date at the rates for 2024 and gave us a nicer room with a balcony which was so lovely of her and the hotel. Fariel another of the hotel staff let us have an early check in time when we arrived. The room itself was beautiful and clean with a gorgeous bathroom (no bath but fantastic shower and Rituals shampoos, etc.) We had some lovely evenings on the balcony chatting and seeing the sun come down. The hotel is 1 minute away from the metro and the staff gave us really clear instructions on how to get around the city (Fariel, drew us an outstanding Micky mouse logo when we were figuring out how to get to Disney!) All in all it was a lovely experience staying there with full WiFi and a number of tv channels (we got hooked on Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte on Netflix perfect escapism!), room was cleaned every day. We will be back! Loved it.
