This is such a charming hotel in a wonderful part of Paris. The facilities are extremely basic and might be a bit difficult for someone with mobility issues (although there is a tiny elevator). That is to be expected for the price. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was so sweet and helpful to my husband and I who only knew the most basic French phrases. We felt so at home. You have two metro stops within a five minute walk with plenty of stores, bakeries, restaurants, and cabarets at your doorstep. If you want luxury this isn't for you, but if you'd rather spend your money on fine food and shopping this is the choice!! We will stay here next time we go back to Paris.

The breakfast is a bit expensive for what you get. It is only bread, cereal, and coffee-- I expected some yogurt and fruit too. You can get croissant and coffee for cheaper at the nearby bakeries. However, everything was fresh and it is convenient.

Easy check in when we arrived (the man on reception didn't give a great impression but checked us in with no problems). The room I had was at the back of the hotel with no view at all, but that didn't bother me as I only needed it as a base for sleeping and showering. Quite a weird layout with the lift between floors but quirky and in fitting with the building The room itself was quite dated but very clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a blanket in the wardrobe (which I didn't need) The bathroom was quite small but the shower worked fine and there were fresh towels and a bathmat alongside some shower/body soap and hand soap. The bed was made every day (except for the day I said it was ok not to but even then I was offered clean towels and extra soaps) Breakfast only consisted of a croissant and a piece of a baguette with butter and jam, although you could help yourself to coffee and orange juice (I was hoping there'd be ham and cheese etc but no very basic) The staff on reception were very helpful giving directions and advice on how best to get around Great location close to Metro and buses and of course the Moulin Rouge and other bars in the area All in all for a 2 star hotel I couldn't fault this little gem of a find

Breakfast was quite disappointing with just 1 croissant and a piece of bread

What was initially an overnight stay due to evening train issues, ended up a pleasurable experience: Located in the centre of the 9th arrondissement, surrounded by many restaurants, and easy to reach by a either metro or bus, the Royal Mansart Hotel is a typical Parisian hotel, with a winding staircase, and a small elevator. The room was clean and looked quite vintage, the staff very kind and helpful when we went to ask for an extra towel and the tv remote.

My only complaint is the noise: we were woken up by people fighting in the street --which isn't fully their fault, as it was a Friday night, but they might consider investing in better windows; and again in the morning when people were leaving their rooms.

The staff were friendly. Great location and easily accessible to several metro stations. My room, which was on the top floor, had a beautiful view of the Sacre Coeur. Lively atmosphere from the nearby bars.

The elevator is compact and starts on the first floor, meaning you have to climb one and a half flights of stairs before you can use it. The door opens outwards onto a wide step on each floor and the door to the elevator is heavy and not easily opened. As a result, you need to take care when using it.

Located right by Moulin Rouge, large room and bathroom, breakfast was offered and nice to have every morning. For a private room in Paris, it felt like great value for money!

The doors lock late at night and if someone isn’t at the desk, we had to call and wait a while for someone to let us in.

basic room. sufficient for a stay at Paris. comfortable bed. all ok. very helpful staff. Location is very near Moulin Rouge & Blanche metro station, walking distance. very convenient. lots shops, bars, restaurants outside hotel. walking distance to many bus stops.

lift is between floors. staircase very narrow. But this is common in Paris. not unexpected. Blanche metro is ok, but be careful when changing metro lines at Barbes, lots pickpockets at Barbes metro station. More advisable to take a taxi / Bolt (27 euro for Bolt) from airport to hotel, instead of taking train & metro.

The staff was extra friendly and polite and the place was absolutely super clean!

Not much as I didn’t like cos it was pretty much perfect but maybe add something to put on the floor in the bathroom just so it doesn’t get all wet around, not a problem but a recommendation.

The service was impeccable, we were greeted politely and felt at home immediately. The room was cute, and we got the one on the corner of the street, from which we had an amazing view on all the cozy restaurants out there.

The elevator was between the first and second floor, so we still had to carry our heavy suitcases upstairs. The shower was a bit too small for me. Other than that, it was okay.

Great location, easy to find, and everyone who worked here was so friendly and helpful. We had a very early flight into Paris and so we arrived to the hotel at 9am, and the man at the reception desk said that even though our original double bed room wouldn't be ready until the standard check in time (2pm), we could alternatively switch to a room with two twin beds and check in immediately. Since we hadn't slept the night before, this was amazing. They set up our room with a crib for our child and made it comfortable with extra sheets and blankets, and brought extra soaps and shampoos and an extra towel for our child. The room itself was a good size for us and had comfortable beds and linens. There was lots of hot water, so we were able to have a hot bath before going to bed for the morning. This meant that we could look around the city well rested in the afternoon, when otherwise it would have been a pretty exhausting day. I had read reviews about how this hotel was noisy at night, but we didn't have that problem. We usually turn on white noise at night to help our child sleep, and so if there was any noise, it didn't bother us anyway. Breakfast the next day was baguettes, jam, butter, croissants, and coffee from a coffee machine. The milk drinks from the coffee machine didn't taste great (but the espresso was good enough). We checked out at 11am but because we had a 7pm train out of Paris Est, the hotel was very accommodating and let us leave our luggage at the hotel until the afternoon. They also let us print our train tickets at reception. All in all it was a great stay.
