The hotel was set in its own grounds with good parking. It was a very interesting building with lots of history. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful, we were even shown to our rooms, something you don’t get very often. The suite was wonderful, very spacious and clean, with lovely views over the gardens. The bed was very comfortable. It had a nice indoor pool and sauna. The evening meal was amazing, as was the service. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of fresh food. I would happily spend a week here, and will return for longer. I highly recommend this hotel, good value for money and all the staff were excellent

This hotel would be Five star if it had air condition. Seems to be a major problem as it has been without air conditioning for months. The chef is outstanding and worth staying here alone to taste his food. The cheese course was the best I have ever tasted don’t miss it. Staff are trying very hard bit difficult for them when things do not work.

Just needs the air conditioning fixed to be 5 star and perhaps up grade the shower

This is a lovely building with great facilities in the spa and nice rooms.. There is plenty of parking and the staff are very friendly.

It's a bit too far for restaurants in the evening without a car, the hotel restaurant was empty and lacked any atmosphere. The bar was also empty and it feels like the place is being run down. The outdoor pool had been left to ruin and it looks like it needs a significant investment.

the grounds are stunning, the property is beautiful although rooms are a little outdated

the gym was not clean there is black mould on the ceiling. the bar is not stocked or serviced properly which is a shame as we would have spent alot more money if there was better service

Large room, interesting old building, somewhat run down. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Walking distance (about 1.5km) to centre of town. Spacious grounds, ample parking.

Overpriced and overrated for what it actually is. Wasn't 5 star in quality & maintenance of fittings & facilities.

Place looks a bit tired, gardens were unkempt, rooms were a bit old fashioned, a few areas of damp on the walls etc. once a stylish villa no doubt but now needs a little investment to bring it back to its former splendour

Lovely big room with nice bathroom with bath and separate shower, staff friendly and helpful. Good gym and spa pool.

Reviews said that the hotel had good food but when we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed, we should have been informed of this prior to booking, also said it had two swimming pools but only one working.

Lovely grounds Building is magnificent! Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very helpful and pleasant . Room was huge.

Bathrooms need updating. There was a great deal of noise coming from upstairs and hallway outside our room.. The doorways leading outside to the patio felt not so secure. Feels like the whole place needs a little freshening and updating.

Beautiful view of the Pyrenees. Beautiful suite and bath. Wonderful breakfast and service! Silvania was most accodating to serve us a beautiful Wine and charcuterie platter with bread on Monday night.. So Sweet to share stories of the Castle and Lady of the house.

It’s a beautiful building and its walking distance from everything.

My room was insufferably hot and the AC was not working properly. As a result I had to battle mosquitoes in the night and slep poorly. Window frames were broken and didn’t close and the WC had broken items, which I reported.
