Our visit to Chateau Franc Mayne was exceptional. Rachel & Pacale were superb hosts and the wine tour with Veronique was "magnifique". The breakfast of fresh fruit with homemade merlot jelly/apricot jam with rosemary, fresh yogurt, and eggs is to die for. The garden and pool area is beautifully kept. The walk to St Émilion through the surrounding vineyards is quite special. It's a place to make special memories.

Very minor things. The servicing of the room fell short of what we expected . We had to request extra toilet paper and water. The shower in Jardin de Mayne spills on to the floor.

The place is so beautiful. There's a long road up to the Chateau and you appreciated the vineyard. We did the tour first - they offer free tour for guests - before we checked in. Jean wis so knowledgeable and very friendly. The Chateau is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. It is very peaceful. Rachel welcomed us and the hospitality and service are excellent. We were at the treehouse and that was an experience in itself. We woke up to the wonderful view of the entire vineyard. The Chateau is 3 mins drive away from Saint Emilion town.

The treehouse required you to climb up the stairs with your luggage. I was expecting this and I did not have a very heavy luggage so it is manageable.

Incredible property, the building and vineyards are great and the treetop room is tremendous with views over the vineyards. The wine tour at the start of the day, great location with popping into saint emillion for lunch, great check in with Rachel showing us round, the pool was a treat. Then relaxation in the evening sat on the terrace of the treetop. A joy. And the best bed for a great nights sleep x

Was just fantastic

Everything - the serene location close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away to be relaxing, the pool was a perfect way to escape the hot afternoon sun, the room felt luxe, Rachel the host was very communicative and helped with any of our needs, the wine tour was superb

Limited food and drinks on site (but this is a very minor problem)

This chateau was a wonderful, tranquil oasis. We spent 2 nights here. The staff were lovely and friendly. Cecile give us a tour and wine tasting and was really pleasant and knowledgeable. Pascale looked after us in the quest rooms. She is a lovely lovely person, very approachable and friendly. Rachel posted my watch back home, that i had mistakenly left in our room. We were able to walk through the peaceful vineyards into the beautiful town of St Emilion in 20 mins. Gorgeous place with lots of winding cobbled streets, many restaurants and lots of opportunities to try the local wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the chateau and would recommend to anyone. Thank you 😃

The location is just beautiful set amongst vineyards, felt very private and relaxing. Lovely grounds, great pool and garden area surrounding. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable. The communal terrace and living rooms were clean and inviting. The use of the pool table was good for entertainment, as we travelled with a baby who was sleeping from early in the evening. The wine tour was informative and interesting and relaxed.

If travelling by public transport, it is a 20-25min walk into the centre of st emillon, which is enjoyable through the vineyards. However the accommodation provides no food options other than a light breakfast. There is no bar or communal kitchen. The nearest bakery is 15mins on foot. If you have a car this isnt an issue, or if you are out and about seeing the surronding area/visiting saint emillon this is fine, but if you plan to spend time at the chateau you have no food options for even simple snacks. There is ability to buy wine to consume on the premises, and a limited honesty bar, but no bar or bar service. Check in is also quite late.

We loved the calm peaceful surroundings, the elegant chic interior; from the decor of the rooms to the beautiful breakfast bowls. The staff were exceptional and professional and discreet too. Rachel was a standout and really knew how to make us feel welcome and comfortable and was very knowledgeable about the area. Veronique our wine tour guide brought enthusiasm and interest to an amazing tour of the estate including the caves where the barrels were kept.

Pascale and Rachel (foh) were both lovely. Accommodation was absolutely charming. Throwing the shutters open on a spring morning overlooking the vineyards was awesome 😊. Breakfast was brilliant…everything home/freshly made inc yoghurt & fabulous fruit salad. Great wine tour included complimentary…topped off a wonderful stay! Thanks Veronique, for sharing your knowledge of Franc Mayne/St Emilion wines & the underground caves….wow, such history!

Nothing at all!

Rachel is the most gracious hostess imaginable. The breakfasts are amazing with homemade treats and varied offerings. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The property is simply gorgeous as were the sunsets over the vineyards. Their wine tour is great and the wine is delicious. The 25 minute stroll to Saint-Emilion is relaxing and beautiful and a must-do Truly a 10 out of 10!

I working hard to find something to improve. Perhaps offering wine by the glass for sale? (We couldn’t do a full bottle.)

Beautiful place, very relaxed and so welcoming. Felt like a home from home. We had a complimentary tasting and then had the opportunity to relax in the surroundings of the house afterwards and enjoy the wines. Our small and well behaved dog was allowed in all the areas. We could walk directly into St Emilion via the vines where we had a delicious dinner. Breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious and home made. We would definitely come back and would love to stay for more than one night. Rachel and Pascale were so helpful before and during the stay.
