We had the absolute perfect stay at Le Prieure de Saint Pierre. We were warmly welcomed by Eric, his two lovely well-behaved labradors, and a glass of rose! Our bedroom was big, clean, beautifully decorated, and the water pressure in the shower wonderful. The pool was open, and we enjoyed a quick swim before we were off to Saint Emilion. Eric helped us with making a reservation, and we had the best French diner we've had in a very long time at l'Envers du Décors. Breakfast in the morning was served in the living room. The food was fresh, good quality coffee, and you have a beautiful view of the valley and the surrounding vineyards. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the neighborhood. Thank you Eric for the welcoming us in your beautiful home!

Beautiful house from the 12th century on top of the hill with a spectacular view of Saint Emilion region. The owner is an extraordinary person, a real gentleman who welcomed us to his house with such warmth and friendship. He was making sure that you feel good and have everything you need in such a polite and subtle way. The room is decorated in a very sophisticated way in combination with the stone architecture of the house. Also the room and the bathroom were perfectly clean the same as the other parts of the house. In the morning the owner prepared a rich breakfast full of fresh pastry, coffee, juices, traditional french jams and other great food served in a beautiful dining room. If you want to experience something unique, feel the true spirit of France and have the best possible accommodation in a heritage stone house with the owner who welcomes you and treats you as a friend I would definitely recommend you to book.

Eric the host was so welcoming and hospitable, giving us advice and welcome drinks, showing us around the property where we had use of the kitchen, pool and living room, as well as a private courtyard. The location is phenomenal, right on top of the hills, with spectacular views. His two beautiful dogs are so calm and friendly. We also had a private courtyard in front of our room. There's an air conditioning unit too, it's very loud, but it does the job. We spent very little time in the room itself. The wider property, with the views, gardens, pool and lovely host are what made the experience.

The bathroom situation was interesting. There is just a low tile screen dividing the shower and bedroom, with a curtain screen for the toilet, so you hear/smell everything from anyone you're sharing with. There was also a drip from the toilet flush that was a bit annoying at night. The property is also very old, so when peopl le walked on the floor above it was very loud and echoed through the floorboards, especially at night.

This is an absolute gem of a location, away from the bustling cities but within easy reach of Bordeaux and the vineyards. The old building and the rooms are so typically cozy French countryside. Eric, the owner is friendly and helpful and went out of his way to help and advise on sightseeing, great personality and sense of humor. We wish we could have stayed longer. The fur babies made us feel at home. We loved it, thank you so much.

It was a very pleasant stay. The location could not be better to experience the area. Our host was very kind and helpful. We had a lovely dinner in a place where he suggested and he was very kind to make a reservation for us. The room is exactly as described and in the photos. The view is spectacular. I would definitely like to come back and stay some more days.

Eric was a wonderful host. Even before we arrived he made sure we turned up at the right place and was very accommodating when we were delayed with our arrival. He also made sure we were comfortable in the property and gave us recommendations on what to do. The property was gorgeous and had so many original features. The bedrooms were big and the living room where he had breakfast was so lovely and light (I wish I lived there full time)! His pets are an added bonus and ever so friendly.

Eric! Eric was a thoughtful and welcoming host, and made us feel we were in a home away from home. He gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat depending on where we were visiting that day. The dogs were also lovely! The property itself is beautifully decorated, and the views from the pool are breathtaking. It’s in an excellent location to explore the local area. We were sad to leave!

I arrived on a very rainy night so I sat with Eric in his lovely lounge and we enjoyed a carafe of Rose wine together while he explained the nicest things to do in the area....The breakfast next morning was very fresh and with generous portions to set me on my way to explore the region....I would definitely go back

We had a wonderful stay here and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The property is spacious and well-decorated with wonderful views out over the vineyards. We greatly enjoyed the hospitality of Eric who gave us everything we needed and provided us with knowledgeable suggestions for our time in the Dordogne. The welcome glass of rosè was a perfect way to begin our stay. Highly recommend

This was such a great place to stay! Eric has a beautiful home, and is an incredibly welcoming host. He greeted us with a glass of rose as he showed us around - his home has a beautiful view and such a lovely pool which would have been amazing on a warm day! The room is well decorated, very spacious, and very comfortable. The value of this place is amazing and we will definitely be back the next time we are in the area!
