We loved the roses that greeted us so it was great curb appeal. The pool was immaculate and although we didn’t use it, there was also a hot tub. We were in the middle of wine country so it was convenient. The best part of our visit was our wonderful host. He prepared an amazing breakfast for us with many breakfast choices and warm bread. He served us himself! We could tell that he takes great pride in his work by his careful attention to all the little details. Unfortunately, we were there on a day when his restaurant was not open for dinner. The menu looked appetizing and regional. I have no doubt he is an amazing chef!

What a really special find this small hotel with an exceptional restaurant is! The staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming, the rooms, air conditioned and functional, the grounds beautiful, with a small pool- an essential in the soaring heat!!! The most welcome surprise though, was their amazing restaurant, which from the early evening was really busy! Local customers as well as the hotel guests ate on the terrace. It’s menu is traditional French cuisine and is renowned for it’s Lamprey, (not our family favourite) but we all found a dish we enjoyed very much! There is a selection of produce made by the kitchen available to buy …. the red fruit jam is the best!!!

The personel is really kind, the room with AC, comfy beds and a little living room was very comfortable. The food from the restaurant is amazing and the place is very quiet and calm. It is 15 mins from St Emilion and 30 mins from Bordeaux. The swimming pool is a plus, specially in summer. The breakfast (not included in the fare) is generous and delicious.

The arrival was strange as the place was very quiet and we seemed to be the only guests. I would add some music on the pool side to give some ambiance (but this is very personal) and most would appreciate the quiet environment.

Lovely small hotel with heated swimming pool. Dinner was very good with a nice selection of wines. Breakfast was also good.
