Marie and Frank are the most wonderful hosts who couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable and happy. Their home is just beautiful, with lots of character and history. We had a gorgeous room, with a very comfortable bed, overlooking the garden and hills in the distance. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade yoghurt. We were near to the charming village of Bellac which has lots of cafes and places to eat. We loved our stay. A huge thank you to Marie for making it so special.

Nothing, it was perfect

A beautiful 18th century manor house, where Lenin had stayed for three years in the early 20th century, and which has its own grounds and an impressive garden with ample car parking in the courtyard. The floor throughout was polished solid oak floor boards and the decor in keeping with the age of the house. Our large bedroom had a large double bed and also had twin single beds, the window looking out on the wonderful garden. The large shower room was impressive and had all the necessary conveniences that all worked well. The host was Marie, a lovely lady who provided every convenience during our overnight stay and served a high class breakfast in the morning.

The entry through the arch into the courtyard was very tight.

Absolutely everything! Such a stylish and lovely old building. Marie- the host is such an amazing lady , makes you feel like being at home. Delicious breakfast: famous homemade youghurt as well as jams. Will definitely come back. Room had tea and coffee facilities, as well as some toiletries in the bathroom- some older comments here mentioned it wasn’t the case.

Something to bear in mind- shops and restaurants are a short drive away (Bellac is super charming).

This is the most perfect location, very peaceful and the house and gardens are superb. We had a friendly welcome and were made to feel at home. The room was beautiful and it was a real wow moment. Everywhere was clean and we had everything in the room that we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and the host chatted to us about the house and it's history. Altogether a most pleasant stay

The location, the house, the decor, the comfort and the bathroom. Fantastic shower and comfortable bed. On arrival the house and the bedroom were warm which we really appreciated as the weather was horrible. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was very good, homemade jams and yogurts and plenty of everything.

there was nothing we didn't like but perhaps the only criticism we have is there was nowhere to put things on the shower. A little rack or a little shelf would be useful.

Secluded yet easy to find. Warm welcome. Beautiful house and gardens steeped in history. Lovely breakfast mostly homemade. Would highly recommend 😊

There was a strong smell of cats/animals as soon as we walked in which was rather overwhelming. Fortunately the bedroom didn’t have the odour

Fabulous room in an old farmhouse - beautifully restored and tastefully decorated and furnished to create a magical blend of old and new. We were travelling through so could only stay the one night but we would have loved to stay longer - if we're ever back in this region we would definitely stay again. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was great!

No obvious bad points for us - everything was great!

I loved staying in this Bed and Breakfast. Marie and Fred were such kind and helpful hosts. We felt so welcome and were given some great tips about what to do in the area. The house itself is incredible! It's a very old house with so much character. I loved the decorations, gorgeous high ceilings and hard wood floors. The bathroom was big and modern too. The breakfast was delicious with homemade yoghurt, fresh fruit and yummy pastries. They had fresh juice too as well as great latte coffee. There is a big garden behind the house to walk around in and two beautiful dogs that live there too. The owners can keep the dogs away if you want, but because I love dogs they let me have some pats in the mornings:)! We used the sauna on the first night and that was very relaxing. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I loved everything!:) I'd only recommend you'd probably need a car as the property is just out of town, but only a 5-10 minute drive with a car so super close to pop in for restaurants/shops.

Very welcoming Fredrick and Marie were wonderful hosts the place was spotless the bedroom was huge and a lovely ensuite bathroom with an excellent shower the room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable beautiful view to the garden and so cosy we will definitely return again highly recommended if you are travelling south very convenient to the motorway the breakfast was fantastic also homemade yoghurt was delicious and jam with croissants so nice such a beautiful setting the house had lots of character you will love everything about this place.

Excellent ratio price / quality. Home made breakfast, great coffee, friendly hosts and very quiet location. Nice and clean bathroom and bedroom > We'll be back when in this region.
